whats 7N?

7N is the purity of the material. The 'N' stands for Nines.
For example: 3N = 99.9% pure, 4N = 99.99% pure, 7N = 99.99999%

Cables are generally cheap within the 3-5N area but 5N onward it gets stupidly expensive due to the laboratory conditions needed to manufacture such levels of purity.
This is important because even 4N (99.99%) already has such low levels of impurities at 100 ppm (parts per million). Every time you go higher purity the decimal place gets lower.
5N is 10ppm
6N is 1ppm
7N is 0.1ppm

Any more higher beyond that is hard to achieve and is considered pure already. Imagine finding only one part of impurity in a million parts of the material.
6N grade purity can be compared to a teaspoon of sugar in 4,929 liters of water.
7N is 1/10 of that teaspoon.

yes many have done DIY cables for HD650....if you want high end...can opt for Furutech or Cardas plugs on headphone side and furutech/oyaide 3.5mm jack....
cables you can braid on your own and also get something like Oyaide or Furutech....

plenty of options....

I'm not looking for high-end material. Just standard materials.
Its just placebo effect.

If you anyone that can do it, let me know.

a friend asked me to look for good economical power cord for hifi...and here is my recommendation.....

the Gotham Cables screened power cord. Available in 1.5mm, 2.5mm and 5.5mm

cable core is multi strand high quality OFC with aluminium foil shielding and drain cable.....
outer layer is PVC.....

first impression.....this cables provides excitement and energy....
we've done several A/B test amongst many people and swapping into various equipment.....indeed the Gothams are very suitable for all sorts of electronics and doesn't alter the original intended sound signature....

hello~ Modding portapro yourself requires some courage and soldering skills.

1. You can get various type of cables from aliexpress/ebay or even lazada.

2. Yes, if you believe cable will changes your sound signature not so say it may looks better after changing cable?

3. I assume that you want to have detachable cable mod on your portapro, that will means you need to have a connector attached on your portapro.. Based on what I know, portapro have very small clearance at the driver so 3.5mm and any connector larger than that is most likely not able to fit in.

For starters maybe you can search for some cheap IEM cables, some of them are well braided and soldered with 3.5mm connector. If you plan to direct solder you can always cut off the IEM connectors and solder it to your portapro

Is it true pure silver speaker wire can improves high frequency? Looking to improves my speakers high frequency response, I found the treble a bit low, no syok, online saw some claimed the noticeable dim after 12-13kHz...
