I also would stay away from EQ its like not listening to my "headphones"
Believe it or not I used my old grado cable on my superlux 668b it isnt half bad, brings out the mids I feel, but really smooth and maybe a little fatiguing if for long periods. How to better explain it...the mids have some sibilance now but of course with EQ I can make it not as bad.
next week heading to jalan pasar to buy a few metre's of different audio cables to test out each of their sound let me know if anyone needs me to buy anything

QUOTE(malutapimau @ May 29 2013, 11:53 AM) Any cable that has 3-4 cores I'm going to try I'm also thinking of mixing the cables together. Full out mix and match. That looks like cable made from foil paper also anyone know any good RCA plugs? it seems my rean/neutrik RCA tips are actually quite thick compared to other tips. cant fit into my little dot EDITED: apparently my goldsnake RCA could fit because the center tip is slightly smaller in diameter so i switched it about xD and now it fits wheeeeee This post has been edited by siles1991: May 30 2013, 12:49 AM

so far i've only used canare cables but if you can go jalan pasar and find any cheaper cables also can as long as it has 4 cores. For me i'd use 4 cores for dual entry headphones.
I might go jalan pasar next week for some cable shopping so let me know unless your in a rush.

QUOTE(more2teayap @ Jun 3 2013, 01:02 PM) it doesn't feels like teflon, some kind of very soft pvc. I feel like I'm getting noise from my USB ports out of nowhere there will be a loud hum according volume which fades in and out. And during the hum there will be loud distorted beeps. Getting a ferrite clamp if it doesn't work might build a new cable for my odac. Any suggestions? This post has been edited by siles1991: Jun 3 2013, 10:55 PM

Try it on the second desktop/laptop, humming might be ground problem, ferrite might not work, but worth to try. beeps on DAC normally is driver problem. Correct me if i'm wrong.

http://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/doeswirematter.htmQUOTE ..........the fact is that a power cord, so long as it's well-constructed and undamaged, correctly sized for the load, and driving a reasonably well-designed power supply, should make no difference whatsoever to the sound of your system. The same goes for these other non-signal cables. If they seem to be working, don't mess with them. the generic power cable would do just fine, ging

I tried medical/lab/precision equipments are more critical about power requirements etc than our consumer audio equipments, its funny to see these machines only use generic power cables hehe im more concern about the power supply inside than the cable powers it,,, This post has been edited by malutapimau: Jun 4 2013, 05:39 PM
