It'll be nicer if i can get higher purity OCC foils.
Have lobang for 6n Silver foils anybody want to try?

23 USD/foot - 1 meter = 3 foot so around 69 usd without shipping.

I tried Jalan Pasar, but only found those PVC shielded, not teflon.
Mind to give me more specified shop name if you get to know any?
Thanks!

so, you are not sure where exactly to get in Jalan Pasar?

because I tried to find. They don't even know what insulation the cable use. I later found out that's PVC.

Hi I bought before in One Utama new wing. I think the name of the shop is "Hifi shop" near shogun. Btw its not bulk purchase, i bought 2.5m pair. Price is ok. If bulk purchase, I think pasar road, but have to order wan... i remember got one shop selling it. Price is much cheaper.

Hi...i would like to recable my bose speakers, however both end of my bose speaker cables are RCA jacks tat one end connects to the speakers and the other connect to the Bose sub.

So my question is, can I recable it by using speaker cables and solder it to a RCA jack for both ends...will it work well? I would actually plan to DIY my own speaker cable and solder to the RCA jacks. Another ques is, wat cables r much suitable for Bose speakers? Mine are those satelite speakers, duno wat model but its those cube type. And from my Sub to the amp cables are also the same...shud that use also speaker cables or coaxial?

Your comments are much appreciated...cheers

hi,
my newly developed DIY cable,
this time using 6 wire, 3 wire on each terminal
plan to use this wire for interconnect...
pending for some purchase on good RCA connectors (most likely WBT)
[attachmentid=1781537]
[attachmentid=1781538]

Wires: Belden, silver
Some measurement results:
(Cp) parallel capacitance: 62 uF @ 20 kHz
(Ls) series inductance: 1.0 µH @ 20 kHz
(Rdc) dc loop resistance: 0.038 Ω
(Xt) total reactance: 0.106 Ω @ 20 kHz

I like it that you put some science & measurement into the DIY cable .. way much better than just listening to it..

Just curious, what sort of equipments do you use to measure the LCR ?

Newbie here,

Would like to ask about mini interconnect. If I'm using starquad cable, can I use the shielding as the ground and 2 wires for each channel or just 1 wire for each channel and the other 2 wires as the ground?

Which one would be the better idea?

Thanks in advance smile.gif

For me i would prefer 1 wire for each channel, 2 wire and shield for ground. You can try it see whether which one works best to you.
