What are the best practices (contracts, illustration, etc) to follow, from proposal to getting the project done?

1. Contract

3. Materials transfer (if any)
4. Work start.
5. Revision process.
6. Final sign off.
7. Collect money.
8. Deliver work.

It's an ideal process, but not necessarily the only one. Process is sometimes dictated by the comfort level between your client and you. What's crucial are payments, communication and documentation. Any form of electronic conversations like email, whatsapp etc should be archived. Otherwise, needless finger pointing without proof happens.

I did also read somewhere about taking notes during a discussion, at the end you have to share the notes taken with the client to have them confirm the next actions. And if you want, get both parties to sign on it.

Hi there, not sure if this is the right place to ask but I would like to know how much would it cost me to build and maintain a website like Waveapp.com?

I'm not really a tech person and has minimal knowledge in web design but I'm looking forward to learn more about it as I'm interested in doing a local tech startup. Atm, I'm trying to put together a team that will help me do that.
