it's Maxis festive season promotion. only have to pay RM1600 upfront. 800 is advance payment which i think is really great since my current plan is slightly more expensive than the one they offer.
used device is still very expensive, lol. have you encountered any problems with HTC so far?

You get it from maxis also need to wait one they also send to the same service center if im not wrong .

i have a bunch of friend who change to HTC one we all had send in once for the purple tint issue , it's all fine and they do made their promise on 5 to 7 working days . ours was send into kelana Jaya . After that we all are really satisfied on the camera and the phone , not to mention we had did some short film on it . the macro was pretty awesome .

P.S = P mine was a little not so lucky because they accidentally scratch on my black casing .

Every brand have their own fair share of story...

Im happy with Samsung but Im pretty sure not everyone is lucky. My sister brand new S3 last time day 1 got defect amoled. Cannot exchange, only can repair. What to say... and lots of Note2 and S3 are suffering from SDS after warranty over.

I avoid HTC because I hate them for not updating my HTC Legend to GB. Even Froyo was slow.

Guys,

Been looking at the thread and I am planning to send my phone down for warranty claim. Yes it's the dreaded purple tint issue.

I only have some time now and that damm courier company UPS didnt even call me couple days ago and just came to my office to collect the phone but I was not in. I complaint but no calls til now on when to pick my phone up.

I now plan to send my phone in today to BTS. Just wondering if it's open today? I did check on HTC website and it says only open on weekdays.
Anyone with experience to send it in on a weekend at the shop or the service centre is a different setup all together?

Hey bro, as what I know, BTS SC do not open on weekend. I heard that they only operate 4 days a week. It is a shame for HTC. I was a huge fans for HTC but in future, I can't guarantee it. Pretty disappointed with such "flagship" phone. My 1st unit was having a serious purple tint issue on camera and I went back for a replacement. But now the 2nd one camera shows red/blue/purple noise when I place the phone on table. It does really annoyed me. This is my first RM2k phone, I always bought out-dated phone previously. But this really scared me. Whether will I continue support HTC in future? Even myself also doubting.

Btw, which floor is it located? Website did not state the address.

I've been a loyal fan for a while. First HTC was a Legend, then One X (that itself also got issue), then got a S3 (still using it) and now with the "One" phone.

My previous experience with HTC service was bad. Thought they might have bucked up. Seems no even after over a year and a half.

Problem is I am not sure if the principal has the presence here or an appointed "distributor" or company running the show. HTC overseas services I doubt its that bad (I'm sure there are cases)

So my summary is CS in any field in Malaysia sucks big time. red tape, under trained, under paid, blah blah blah..

It is located at 7th floor. Just follow the escalator up to 7th floor if you come out from the monorail entrance, the SC is just in front of the escalator.

My cousin sent his device to repair after 3 days of purchase (quite a shame too if a device having a problem just in 3 days), and then, surprisingly they repaired the phone within 3 days time (as I heard a lot people say their service is quite slow) and ask my cousin go back to collect.

The IMEI number is different since SC told him that they had replaced a new motherboard. After get back home, my cousin found that the same problem still exist.

hey guys, my phone has serious purple tint issue as well doh.gif . noticed it yesterday when taking a pic in basement car park. i seldom take pics and i pretty sure i checked the camera when I bought this phone at senheng.

i read previous post, there's a forumer here said will take around a month if send back to senheng for warranty. maybe i'll send for warranty this week and hope i can get back my phone by CNY...

P/S: i don't know why he said he bought 3 yrs extended warranty but mine is 2 yrs from SIS(according to senheng) + 2 yrs extended warranty from senheng hmm.gif

also I just upgraded to 4.2, the operations seem slicker and smooth than 4.1(on & off screen, p/w pop up are a lot faster). Oh yea i also noticed digi apps installed after 4.2 blink.gif

should i upgrade to 4.3? i read the purple tint issue is worst in 4.3

Camera purple tinted is hardware issue. Better sent for repair

problem of HTC is even you send to them 3 times, they will send back the phone with same problem.

With this kind of Purple tint camera issue, i guess I will avoid buy this phone eventhough DIRECTD have special year end promotion. sad.gif

They sell for RM1699 (Red Color).

YES better avoid. Unless u wanna go through all sorts of after sales problem. Although it is a good phone but after sales is ZERO.

you can consider AP set.
AP set no worry warranty after sales. but it does not have brows.gif

I think the latest one has no purple tint problem. You can check the IMEI with below format:- Please get at least HTC3(9, A, B, C).... Means latest produced.

HTYMDAABBBBB

HT = Vendor HTC--> Hsinchu, Taiwan or SH = Shanghai, China
Y = Year (3 = 2013)
M = Month (hex 1...C = 1 - 12 months)
D = Day (hex 1...9A..Z = 1 - 31 days)
YY = Part Code
ZZZZZ : Identification Number (decimal)

And ... You only should buy HTC with below conditions,
1. the seller agreed to replace other phone for you if defect found within certain number of days.
2. You are stay in KL and at least can reach SC directly.
3. The phone is latest produced. Check the IMEI number as I mentioned above.
