Is it every unit also having purple tint problem? Is there any way to check it during purchase? I'm planning to get this phone tho but when I run through this forum it seems like the purple tint problem is quite serious on this model.

The camera is actually software or hardware problem? I tested in the shop it goes very well, no purple or pink tint, even under a low-light condition, but after 2 hours when I get back home, and try it again in my room, it does come with minor purple tint issue. Argh. I am a big fan for HTC no matter its outlook or even UI design, I loved it very much.

After look at the complaints here, I really don't know should I continue support HTC in future, I spent money and I very care about the product's customer service. If they're worse, why do I still spend my money on them, haiz. sad.gif

What kind of flagship phone is this, still using the camera as 1 of the promoted factor for HTC One, but end up with camera prob, now this thread also doesn't look like a user sharing thread whereas become a complaining thread already. I loved HTC so much but I really disappointed with it. I owned this phone less than 24 hours but already can't stand on the annoyed purple tinted camera.

I can't stand with the purple tint, called HTC Customer Care, they request me to go back to the place I bought my phone to get a 1 to 1 exchange. I went back to the shop, but no more silver stock, paid RM80 top up to exchange with the red one, God blessed, the red one is just perfect without any gap issue and most importantly, the camera is free from problem! I'm happy with my device now.

I bought it from Satu Gadget, I keep it less than 24 hours, bought at Friday (13 Dec) 10.30pm and return it at Saturday (14 Dec) 6pm. I called HTC Customer Care before go back to the shop cause I was planning to send it for repair, but HTC told me if buy it less than 14days can request for 1 to 1 exchange as long as your device without any scratch and dent + it still remain full set.

Hey bro, as what I know, BTS SC do not open on weekend. I heard that they only operate 4 days a week. It is a shame for HTC. I was a huge fans for HTC but in future, I can't guarantee it. Pretty disappointed with such "flagship" phone. My 1st unit was having a serious purple tint issue on camera and I went back for a replacement. But now the 2nd one camera shows red/blue/purple noise when I place the phone on table. It does really annoyed me. This is my first RM2k phone, I always bought out-dated phone previously. But this really scared me. Whether will I continue support HTC in future? Even myself also doubting.

It is located at 7th floor. Just follow the escalator up to 7th floor if you come out from the monorail entrance, the SC is just in front of the escalator.

My cousin sent his device to repair after 3 days of purchase (quite a shame too if a device having a problem just in 3 days), and then, surprisingly they repaired the phone within 3 days time (as I heard a lot people say their service is quite slow) and ask my cousin go back to collect.

The IMEI number is different since SC told him that they had replaced a new motherboard. After get back home, my cousin found that the same problem still exist.

Now both directd and satu gadget also doing the promotion on the red One. I am stupid enough to bought it exactly 7 days earlier. When I bought my phone, the red is most expensive among 3 color which is RM1,969. I choose silver at the first place and it having a camera defect so I go back for replacement. But only red and black available, pay RM80 top up to get the red one.

After exactly a week, they do promotion pulak, RM1,749 for the red unit. Even cheaper than silver and black unit.

Who else having a worse luck than me? Sad.

Regarding the camera, I think it is hardware issue tho. I saw a lot people after camera replacement it is still having the same problem, whereas some people found that it is no problem during purchase but after a few weeks or months, the problem only started to come out.

It is a very good phone. I rather they use back normal megapixel. Maybe not good in taking picture in low light but at least it is free from problem.

1 of the promoted point on this device is the camera which can capture a good quality photo under a low light condition but is it true? Obviously not. If take in a good lighting condition, it is only having a 4mp camera which is really not as good as other brand's flagship; whereas if take picture in low light condition, it is funny, mostly got problem, either tint or noise. Is these what they promoted? Can captured a picture with purple effect without any editing?

I'm kinda disappointed with this phone as One is the phone I expect and wait for so long. And, this is my first phone that close to RM2k. The previous devices that I owned were all out-dated phone which is below RM1k.

This is the first up to date phone that I bought, and it is cost more than my 1 month salary. I never spend so much on gadget things. Haiz. First thing, the camera disappointed me, second, the price, argh!! If I buy it 1 week later I can save RM220.

How long you waited for your device to be repaired? Mine is free from purple tint, but just sometimes have some blue/red noise if fully cover the camera lens.

Thanks bro, but really sad that the device suddenly dropped RM200+ in a week for a new set.
Btw bro, your device camera ok? Mine is free from purple tint problem (as this is my 2nd unit) but sometimes it still have some red/blue noise come out when the camera lens is fully covered.

Yea mine is SIS unit.

When testing the unit in the shop for nearly 2 hours snap picture here and there, cover the lens for 5 minutes but the purple tint didn't come out, but after I go back home, it suddenly pop up the camera matter. I called HTC and they request me go back to SatuGadget for 1 to 1 exchange. I go back but no more silver, so top up RM80 for the red. Test kaw kaw as well, no problem, just after a few days, if fully covered the lens, sometimes it will show some blue/red noise after a couple of 10 secs.

Now it is still within the 14 days time frame but just don't know whether want to get for another 1 to 1 exchange or not. sad.gif

But quite weird, for the photo that lens that fully covered up, in the screen it does have some noise but in photo, the noise seems not so obvious.
