or maybe like you had questioned the possibility of going into CMF for the time being.. rclxms.gif  good idea though,...but when do you want to move? and for how long?.....(then it will means "timing the Market"...which we can't right?)
CMF is now giving about 2.9%, Bank Rakyat FD about 3.6%, your bond fund? if 5%...wanna take the risk of losing maybe 5% when taper comes for the extra 2%?...just a thought.  rclxub.gif

Don't bother with balanced funds IMHO.

Balance your portfolio yourself.

fyi, recently i reviewed my holding with CIS.....they also hinted to me the possibility to shift ALL my holding to CMF for a few months "starting" end of January 2014.....fearing some pull back on the S&P...needed to see the mkt trend and direction first....Fed 2014..US budget talk and maybe 1st quarter QE starts...

Consider Constructing A Balanced Portfolio Over Balanced Funds
how one of our model portfolios can make a good alternative to investing in balanced funds.

E.g. if u like OSK-UOB KidSave, u can construct your own "KidSave" by combo OSK-UOB Income Fund (0% SC, 0% platform fee bond fund) with OSK-UOB Equity Trust icon_idea.gif

Effectively u are getting a "balanced" fund at 1% SC FOREVER drool.gif

Guys,
For PRS, is the Hwang PRS Growth fund recommended?

The charges incurred would be:
1.8% Annual management fee + 0.04% Annual Trustee Fee + 0.04% PPA Administrative Fee right?

I would be tempted back then. But now prefer to invest directly in shares. Unless a big correction then I will top up.
