My hands are itchy and I have 2 tokens on hand.
Scouting to buy one fund. Perhaps on OSK-UOB ASEAN FUND since I sold off PUBLIC SOUTH-EAST ASIA SELECT FUND.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Nov 27 2013, 08:53 PM) Pardon me but your statement is flawed. MOST China funds were launched into the market at the peak of China equities. Thus, u cannot say that "you'd be better off parking in FDs than investing in this fund". This OSK-UOB fund did a good job in beating its benchmark and many other China funds on the market (at least on Malaysian UT market). Ai yo, you are addressing the wrong point. I'm was not giving excuses, or background reasons why, or when the funds were launched, or whether OSK did a good job or not. I was stating a fact that in simple comparison, that particular fund was worse than FD, and that's simple accounting, or in fact simple arithmetic. As a accountant, you really need to learn to distinguish between basic statement of facts and other side issues.

wow, long time did not hear this type of "good" noise......(which could be a trap too ) Analysis: What taper? Low rates for longer is key Fed theme for 2014 That means 2014 could be another good year for riskier assets, and a bumpier one for safer fixed income investments. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/11/25/...E9AO0XK20131125Surfing central banks in a benign 'QE trap' And even if the Fed does taper asset buying in 2014, liquidity from the Bank of Japan or European Central Bank could be boosted to offset it. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/11/27/...E9AQ07520131127This post has been edited by yklooi: Nov 27 2013, 10:55 PM

Why a 3,800 Straits Times Index or 16,000 Dow Doesn’t Matter.... Over the past week or so, the three major American stock market indexes, namely the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500 Index, and the NASDAQ, all broke through round-numbered barriers of 16,000, 3,800, and 4,000 respectively. http://www.fool.sg/2013/11/27/why-a-3800-s...-doesnt-matter/click "refresh" when prompted to log in
