Couldn't find any thread specific to Armaggeddon gaming brand here; only all the famous ones.

I know Armaggeddon's pretty new to the scene, but anyone here is a user or fan of them?

I've been using their mouse (Phantom) and keyboard (Nighthawk KAI-5) and they've never failed me, really good stuff for great prices rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Planning to get a second mouse and keyboard soon from them too tongue.gif

Not rebranding, just different division/department
If they put Powerlogic, I dont think they can sell at that price.
As for not-too-good, no comment for this, as I never tried before, and I won't try too due to the price, I rather get something which is more insured laugh.gif

I just got the Mikoyan Foxbat today for my laptop, working fine and looks awesome. But the red laser underneath feels a bit too strong and bright sad.gif Like so unhealthy --the blue lights aren't that strong either, they're just faint-ish, but still looks good tongue.gif

A bit hard to find their mousepads though sad.gif

@zeroblaze: Does your computer register the Phantom right click always stuck sometimes?

@Helldiver - nope... All buttons are very smooth and clicks fluidly without needing a lot of pressure to click on it. Omron switches wink.gif U may want to claim another new mouse.

Nah, it's not the button --I think it's a software problem smile.gif

Tried out games with the Mikoyan Foxbat, runs well, I really don't see why people won't give this brand a chance sad.gif

If I'm not mistaken, the Stealth Raptor is about RM500? I'm not sure about Razers price, but it should be slightly lower lah unsure.gif

Bro, I don't think it's the software... one selected profile is actually stored inside your mouse memory (at least for my Phantom). If I use my mouse on other computers, the profile remains active inside the mouse without any needs to install the software in the other computer. Do check if you've got a "lemon" mouse. 2Yrs warranty... get an RMA on it.

Their software is okay, not the best --but it does get the job done. I find the homebase page of the software very useless tho sweat.gif It just shows you the peripheral and its features.

I do have an issue with the Phantom's software though, if I do any editing in game, the mouse stops moving even though it's on and stuff ._. Then I have to restart my PC.

Tested a few of their products, try looking into my articles in the review thread, or go to www.Tech-critter.com at my siggy there, software tour included wink.gif

I do get stuff from Armaggeddon for review articles wink.gif currently waiting for the G17 to reach my place, shaped almost identical to my Ikari so I'm hoping it's good wink.gif

Saw your review of the Stealth Raptor, it's really nice lah. I'm planning to get one --but it is a bit expensive compared to many others, but I felt the keys nicer to press tongue.gif Would you recommend it personally at that price of RM400+

Yes, thats where they fall short of, unlike Logitech where you can launch straight into the presets when a particular software is launched

haha yeah that's it, well I've always used the logitech software that detects the games I used automatically so I didn't have to do it manually haha well the G11 had a mode switch but it didn't switch profiles for me when I pushed it, just changed the colour, didn't have any experience with the G13 so I hope the G17 fixes the issue

Wah? Logitech's software autodetects games shocking.gif That's pretty amazing hmm.gif \

Did you perhaps ask Armaggeddon if there was a defect in yours? o.o Cause in some mouses, like my Phantom, the button is just to change color, not profile blink.gif

lol shows how mature a driver is right? I thought razer would've implemented the same thing? but anyway will ask Armaggeddonon that issue as well... you could also do it, not that I went through any special route to get questions answered

The Avatar Pro ZX100 is the RM199 one; I've tried a demo unit from Logitech Store in Mid Valley, the sound was nothing but muddy --everything wasn't clear and the bass made everything sound so muffled and muddy... Suggesting that we stay clear of their audio solutions for now. They're priced the same as established brand; I expected it to be much much cheaper considering they're very very new hmm.gif

Can try the IT store on the top floor of the Parkson near greentown.

They sell alot of Razer, Steelseries and Gigabyte stuff, though its been awhile since I've been there and I can't remember seeing any Armageddon stuff. Might be worth a shot.

As for now i doubt so, quality wise it's still not on par with the bigdogs out there, price is quite steep as well. They got a long way to go. sweat.gif

RM180 for the Phantom and RM120 for the Mikoyan Foxbat is more reasonable than other branded mouse where you get nothing but the mouse itself at RM130.

Both the mouse I mentioned lots of features, quality also good, no difference really...

Now, if you're talking about headset... They need to do something with the ZX100 lol

And the ultimate point is that I can find many of its China's OEM brothers at half of the price from taobao...

Rebranding something but sell at twice the price, kimjonuncomeiclapforyou.jpg

Quality wise they're quite okay but yeah it's how they started, no intro price to attract ppl at first

and their firmware isn't really up to the mark yet... but pnp still okay

I can only notice that the legends are misaligned which can be fixed by custom keycaps. But not so sure about compatibility. What other fails that i missed?

Did you bring it back to wherever you bought it from and claim the warranty? There's a two-year warranty on Armaggeddon mice.

I think the Phantom is phasing out leh, you should check out the new G9X with bungee (tarasque) deals at RM190, it's quite a good mouse too, but the best part of the Phantom that I like is the side clicks of the scrollwheels, very intuitive rclxms.gif

Just to add though, I'm selling my Mikoyan Foxbat if anyone's interested biggrin.gif

Anyone seen and tried out the new Armaggeddon earphones yet?

I recently purchased the Armaggeddon Nuke 7 rclxms.gif

Here's a review based on my opinions smile.gif

user posted image
They're retailing for about RM129-RM149 (but most places will sell it at RM129).

As you guys can see in the picture, the packaging is really premium compared to a lot of other gaming peripheral branded earphones: it's just a big chunk of black foam that holds the earphones and all it's accessories, nothing is going to be damaged if you ever drop the packaging.

Speaking of contents, you'll get the following in the box:
user posted image

-Nuke 7 earphones
-Earbuds in various sizes and one with flanges
-Splitter cable into microphone & audio ports on your PC
-In-flight/Plane connector
-Carrying case
-1-Year Warranty card

user posted image

Having been quite familiar with Sonic Gear's reputation as a rather 'meh' audio company, I had very little expectations for this pair of earphones, so I was rather impressed by it.

The sound signature reminds me of the BeyerDynamic XP1 bass earphones --the highs are rather pitchy, the bass is ever present at a comfortable level (but slightly lower than the XP1), and the mids are at a rather lower level compared to the other two frequencies.

Sounds I have tested it with, and my opinions:

- Left 4 Dead 2: Gunshots, explosions and every sound with a high frequency is incredibly pitchy and gets very uncomfortable over time, and the bass seems hardly present somehow.
- Bioshock Infinite: Similar to Left 4 Dead 2, but not as pitchy and I can hear the bass slightly better here.
- Age of Empires 3: The earphones performed very amazingly in this game, distant explosions and ambient sounds came in very clear and comfortable; even minor sounds like the workers cutting meat from an animal could be heard cleanly. Even when in the heat of battle every sound was clean.
- Various movies: Very balanced and clean sound, explosions sounded very well, bass was also very well carried over.
- Various music: Strangely enough, I feel this pair of earphones are more suited for music than gaming; bassy music really has the bass coming through; orchestral sounds come clean and crisp, although there's a minor distortion as you increase in volume; vocals also behave the same way as orchestral sounds. (I listen mostly to jazz and swing).
- Microphone is clear, pretty much like every other earphone around this price point/category.

My overall verdict?
The first thing I noticed when I held the earphones is that these feel really solid, they're heavy and very durable; made from metal or aluminium.
The pitchiness of the earphones isn't comfortable when you're playing FPS games with it, it gets uncomfortable for long periods. Music is where this earphone seem to shine more (so much for being called the Ultimate Gaming Earphones).
Sound-stage on this earphone is fantastic, I can pinpoint music and in-game sounds very accurately; it felt really immersive.
The packaging and amount of accessories they give you is very appreciated, they're really taking care of you here.
At the price you're paying (RM129), it's really a bang for buck earphone.

They're okay to me lah, RM129 for all that accessories, build quality and cool-ness is pretty worth it in my opinon, but the sound (like I mentioned in my top review) is a bit meh, best you try dulu bro. Most of the shops got it with demos, bring a lot a shooting game on your phone and an action movie to test it out with rclxms.gif

Hey man, I've asked them before --they say it's not necessary to register, just keep your receipt and the warranty card (if any) or box with the headphones. thumbup.gif

Their office/warehouse is nearby the Curve at Damansara; it's in Damansara Teknologi Park if I'm not mistaken. You can always message their Malaysia facebook page bro icon_rolleyes.gif

Nice ah? I'm not that much of a big fan of their keyboards tho, the finishing feels very strange to me sad.gif Wished their mechanical keyboards were cheaper though.

Looks like I'll be leaving the Armaggeddon wagon soon.

Recently my Phantom's drivers wouldn't let me set macro bindings on Windows 8.1.

Contacted Armaggeddon and they said that they only provide software support for up to three years.

So if anyone's out there who wants to get into a long term use of mice, don't get Armaggeddon.

AK700 is a membrane keyboard and meanwhile, MKA-9c is a mechanical Keyboard. This is consider one up level for it. Somemore i like the clicky sound of my Mechanical Keyboard. Gaming wise is much improved.

Armageddon is a brand where they rebadge mice from China OEMs. Just browse around Lazada and you can see they have the same quality as those china gaming mice selling for rm20++

I don't think they have a real team that makes/design the mouse, if they do, then they s*ck.

If you're serious about your input devices, better go for brands like Logitech etc. even the great Razer had quality issues, not to mention the issues you might have with Armageddon.

Anyone here using AK-999? Is it silent enough compared to Blue and Brown switches?

Opting for a more quiet keys as mech keys are a little too noisy, but I like the feel of mech keys. So I think this model hits the sweet spot lol.

Owh yeah, and its cheap too. Only 45 bucks
