Hi, probably a noob question here. How often should I change tyre? Currently I’m using Hankook Kinergy Ex which was purchased early 2019 iinm. A few days ago, my car skidded, lost control and turned almost 180 degrees on the road due to heavy rain. Thankfully, nothing bad happened. I know it’s not a good tyre for wet grip. The thread is still thick considering I drive less during MCO period last time. Should I consider changing tyres now? I’m considering the UC7. My car is 2012 Alza btw. Appreciate if you guy can advice me smile.gif

There is no general time or mileage cuz it all depends on tires model, driving habit, and car setup. Some can last over 5 years until over 80k km, some can be just less than a year or less than 20k km.

Heavy rain just drive slowly la. What's the speed when you spun? If you really want a good and safe tires in the wet then buy PS3/4. UC7 is still low end economy model from Continental so usually not good grip. If no budget for PS3/4 then try Maxxis Victra I-Pro.

I was not speeding that time. I was driving around 60-80 km/h and I was passing buy a road with those red stripes bump with minimal cornering.

I just got quoted RM240/tyre for Goodyear Assurance Triple Max 2 for Honda City V (2018).

Includes free alignment and tubeless valve (rubber).

Is it considered a decent price in KL area?

-----

Last week I had a shop willing to go for RM225/4 tyres, this week they change to RM245, claiming price went up...

Ya those rumble strips at corners are the worse, making cars easily skip instead of gripping the tarmac.

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to replace my Michelin Primacy 4 tyres which are already 5 years old. Year made is 2018. Fantastic tyres. I've been waiting for Michelin Malaysia to launch the Primacy 4+ but it's taking so long.

Currently considering Pirelli Cinturato Rosso tyres which was launched recently. Anyone tried them? Btw, my tyre size is 215/60R17. It's a family car, hence, comfort, safety, low noise, and fuel efficiency take precedence

Thanksss

Hello, currently have the Maxxis bravo hp-m3 on my Honda CRV which was changed only few months ago, but I feel that the grip on these tires are quite bad on corners, and especially on wet roads it would slide a lot.

What is a good upgrade that wouldn't be too expensive as the PS4 which cost like rm700 for one on shopee...

Current size is 225/65 r17.

If I were to trade in my current wheels, I wonder how much can trade for, if can find a deal for ps4 suv tires, would be worth to invest in it if there's no cheaper good alternative.

Edit: most likely would save up for the Primacy 4 SUV+ as it's better than ps4 for wet road

The culprit is the not-so-desirable front wheel alignment, whether or not they are within oem spec range.

Any suggestions between Hankook Ventus Prime 4 and Michelin Pilot Sport 3? Size is 195/55/15 on Myvi 2018.

Am current PS3 user but my tyres are getting botak now, mileage 55km.

What will I lose if I go for Ventus Prime 4? Idk coz rating seems high on tyrereview.

Any recommendation for 185 60 R14 tyre? Use case is for daily commute to/from work in town. Rarely any long-distance travel.

I usually went for known brand like Toyo NE3, Continental CC6 or Yakohama ES32. But now I read good review for "new" brand like Giti, Achilles or Atlas. Are these new brands worth trying?

Hello, appreciate if anyone could recommend where can i get cheap goodyear Run-On-Flat tyres 225 45 R18? It previously cost me RM900 to replace just one tyre in Puchong and Lim Tayar charged me RM1100. Current rear tyres are wearing out. Thank you very much.
