I already call to cancel this OCBC card. If 1%, I will stick to my Hong Leong Essential Visa. Unlimited 1%. No AF. Call to waive for tax. I swipe about 2k per annum and entitled for RM50 waive but need to call in few months early to check.

Just checked my latest statement, I received >RM50 rebate and the extra rebates are for purchase after 29th.
*
Me too. Received my latest statement today and 4 rebates appear as :-

1) Cash Bonus Rebate - RM50
2) 5% Cash Rebate - RM50
3) 1% Cash Rebate - RM5.50
4) 1% Cash Rebate - RM0.65

What is Cash Bonus Rebate anyway? to subside GST? But last month I already received RM50 under the description of Annual Usage Bonus in which to offset the GST which been imposed in my last month statement.

Just received the official letter from OCBC yesterday about the removal of 5% rebate! If I did not read Low Yat forums, I would have known about this only yesterday.
Shouldn't they send the notifications out before they do any changes to policies?

Called their CS over the phone, the Cash Bonus Rebate of RM50 is for their promotion back in August till October this year in which you need to spend over RM2000 paying your bills thru OCBC online which I did.

Yes. I Use UOB One Card for petrol. 5% for all petrol station. HLB only for others that UOB don't cover. I miss the OCBC Titanium. Single card to use for all. Was the best card ever. Now no more 5% on groceries.

OCBC is still useful for big ticket items save for

Petrol
Telco
Utilities
Pharmacy

cos UOB only gives 0.3% unlimited for others.

Just to digress further, OCBC also offers the following Cards

Name of Card / Rebate % / Annual Fee / Additional Special Feature

OCBC Gold - Rebates of 0.20% unlimited / RM38

OCBC Platinum / Rebate of 0.50% / RM188 / Auto Easy Payment Plan for big purchase

now compare against the Titanium

OCBC Titanium / Rebate of 1.0% unlimited / Zero Annual Fee

Why would anyone in their right mind want to apply for the above 2-other cards and why would OCBC Still want to offer such an inferior card?

Going to cut this card and replace with MMB Dual.
