450grams versus 300 grams. Light enough for me to sell off my iPad Mini (non retina). The iPad Mini looks smaller because the side bezels are smaller, but personally to me, screen real estate is important too.

glad to hear that. That makes me considering ipad air too, looking at the fact that ipad air will be released earlier. ipad mini retina is weebit heavier than ipad mini 1. Now just looking at the portability in terms of size.

Got my Air on Friday. Got the 128GB LTE via Singapore.

The lightness is overrated (to me). Yes, it's lighter, but it's not like "WOW SO LIGHT!" (if you know what I mean). Not that much difference la (but all the reviews online seem to sing a different song, so maybe you want to hold one before you decide).

I came from an iPad 3, so the main thing for me is the speed. I kept my iPad 3 on 5.1 (JBed), but iOS 7 on the iPad Air absolutely flies. No lag at all, when previously I would have experienced some lag on the iPad 3. And I love iOS 7 (first experience with it).

The Smart Case is excellent. Really high quality, almost (haha) worth the money.

All in all, it's a great device, but if the lightness is your primary reason to upgrade, honestly it's not worth it for me. But if you want to "upgrade" from iPad 3 or 4 to the new iPad Mini Retina, now that's another story.

My two cents. smile.gif

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

that's why i am struggling between both, i have to go and pick 1 ipad air up and feel the weight then only can give conclusion, bigger screen is owes a plus, especially surfing and stuff, big screen with light weight= best of both worlds.

Very fast. Snappier than iPad 3. Played RR3 and IB3 - both smooth as silk. But iPad 3 can also play these games smoothly la, so no big deal, but loading time is much faster on the Air.

Same here..got the air 32gb..comparing with the ipad 4, the design is much beautiful and better...but it is slightly light only...of course you can feel the lightness, but it is not that much of a big deal..the booting time is very fast..and no lag at all..this is my first apple product and it is definitely worth the wait, although the price is quite expensive in singapore plus that smart case is rm300, sgd118..but definitely worth the wait...hehehe

For those who want to wait until it reach malaysia..do note that malaysia is apple wave 2 country and hence stock wont be as much as singapore..so stock would kinda finish quite fast
