I am thinking along the Airs or Retina 3G for me? price different not a deal maker- it is just that I was equally happy with my iPad 2. Any pros and cons?
Lighter being more durable with protection casing? I've butter fingers, I have personally killed three LCD screen of my iPad,iPhone....

It's normal actually.

Not so expensive if you count the following:

1. PowerBank 5200mAh cost around RM50 to RM100
(I am sure most people has at less a PowerBank)

2. External USB 2.5" HDD Storage 500GB around RM180
(I am sure most people also has at less a unit)

3. Wireless-N Repeater with DLNA cost around RM80 to RM200

Total Standalone of the above 3 items cost you around RM310 to RM480

Now, all those 3 items combined into 1 unit Multi-Functions with only the size of a external HDD which only cost you around RM450 for a 500GB unit

Not counted it save you the weight of those 3 items to carry around and also if you're iphone/ipad users it save you the time to convert video format or copy & erase your video/picture/music files when you reach your low storage warning.

If budget is your main concern, retina is way to go, but iOS 7 can sometimes make it laggy. So does playing games.

If not, get the Air. Get an Otterbox casing too.

More & more users are using it now, so the price are getting down. WiFi standard, when it's near your device it's Fast & when it's far from your device it's Slow. Recommended Room size area.

transfer/download VLC movies to/from via WiFi. VLC is not a device. VLC is a video standard that using a supported Apps to play.
There is nothing special about VLC. It's just a file format that must be run by supported Apps.
