So Machines quoted me RM1259 to replace another iPad Air since my device is considered as 'out of warranty' as the screen cracked last week. That's like paying 80% of the original cost for a new iPad Air after one month.

How did you drop it? I thought iPad got shock proof....can drop one, my friend's iPad 2 dropped on the floor and still working, no crack lol

Was sitting by the bench and placed my ipad ontop of my bag and somehow it slipped and fell on the ground. Like knee length height. Hit the edge, causing the screen to crack

maybe u ask people from here to do the exchange screen lo. but ipad screen used to be expensive. i used to pay 450 for my ipad 3 screen crack previous year. at the end i buy a new one instead of repair as it is not worth of repairing

Cost about RM500 to replace a new screen. As for a new unit, not considering since the device is only a month old. It's like throwing away 1.6k. Will replace the screen after CNY thanks anyway

So which option are you taking? If replace the new screen ($500), is it outside or by Machines? It would void the warranty if repair is done outside. But cost would be cheaper.

does anyone knows where PPS downloaded movies are stored in iPad? I have downloaded about 20GB of movie in my iPad Air, have been searching online about how to extract those movies as i wanna JB my iPad, but seems like no luck. So if anyone can advise me it would be great as i dun wanna loose the 20GB movie that i downloaded. And i really wanna JB my iPad Air before Apple stop allowing it. Thanks.

What app did you downloaded the movie with? Usually it will save in that app's folder.

Try plugging in your iPad into iTunes. In iTunes click on your iPad and under the App tab scroll down to the file sharing section. Click on PPS app and you should be able to see the movies on the windows on the right side. Movies I transfer to my iPad VLC Player can be transfer out from there by just right clicking and use copy or paste command.

I tried to do the same many times but somehow those movies cannot be viewed from your method. maybe its hidden folder thats y it can't show. anyway, gonna JB my iPad now. forget about those movies because if Apple come out with new firmware, the wait will be very long for the next JB.

I never buy used iPad before but guess most important besides outlook is touch screen n no dead pixel . Some display might be too yellowish to your liking.
On spot check WiFi detection is good

oh dead pixel is use black and white picture to test but wifi i can use hotspot on the spot test

I just downloaded Dead Trigger 2 on iPad Air. Playing it feels like running the game at 20 fps. Really not that smooth. I'm wondering what happens. Anyone else encounter this?

Warranty is tied to serial number not owner. You can be the 4th or fifth owner warranty is still valid within the first year.. If the unit has applecare purchase you have another year of warranty
