I just use Kingo v1.11 to root my note 3. Knox still 0x0 and also, still samsung official.. no need to use Wanam Xposed mod to make it official.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Nov 4 2013, 07:37 AM)
I believe the kingo and the other app uses the same method as his. Thus is not required for people to download the whole rom just to use his method.  But keep in mind newer bootloader will still trip knox and u will still need to download the whole rom and remove the bootloader portion to continue having root without tripping knox.
Neither is kingo and the other app. People with newer bootloader trip knox as well using them. Its all the same at the moment.  But u urself is unlucky as you rush into a new bootloader before anyone noticed it. It has got nothing to do with region.

Ok later today I update post 9

S3 has started getting its 4.3 update. Note2 should follow shortly. Given all the constraints with Knox, I suppose we might say the note2 is the last great non-nexus device for modding.

I believe all manufacturers will implement some form of lockdown one way or another. This is just pathetic. The only saving grace is that for Samsung at least, TW in its current incarnation is extremely usable.

i'm thinking of getting note 2 32gb as my modding device. With Note 3, i can do nothing coz of KNOX thing  sweat.gif

Good choice but get the SME 16gb. It should be enough and with recent roms like DittoNote3 it's almost exactly like a Note3.

Testimony from fruit user
https://plus.google.com/1035015205985122647...sts/PUQmCfXLRqf

I was an iPhone user for the last 3 years. I bought in to the BS. I swore that the iPhone was heads and shoulders above Android. I thought widgets and live wallpapers were just useless battery wasters. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I nervously jumped ship and bought a Note 3. Man was I ever wrong! The ability to change browsers, keyboards, and even the launcher Is phenomenal! Widgets are downright handy and functional! My aquarium live wallpaper is just too cool to put in words! My wife says I'm like a little kid every time I get on my Note 3! I'm sorry Apple lovers, iPhone is stuck in 2007 and I'll never look back with regret. My son has an iPhone 5 he bought about 6 months ago, and he's even envious and vowing to go Android next time as well.

S4 gave a taste of it and I knew it will come to something like this. I also warned before. But still fsck Samsung anyway. I knew crapple was like this from the start of the ipong era therefore it is in my banned list.

Sadly sooner or later we will be fully locked in anywhere we go.

Hi all,

I just bought Note 3 yesterday.
One of the apps, "Line" is already in the phone even before I downloaded it. I found out when I go into Playstore and the icon only showed "Update" and "open".

However, the apps does not appear in the screen. Is it "hidden apps" or others issue? How to transfer it out to the apps screen there?

Need help icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

I couldn't be bothered about battery life simply because I always had access to any plug for charging or car charger for that matter. But yes, I'm interested to know what do you guys think of my current battery perfomance as posted in these 2 pictures.

Thanks

Added to post 7

017Issue with popup showing "Prevention Information" (with pic) ROM9/2197varioussee below

Knox "fix" for "Prevention Information"
Andrewtst's clear outline of stuff to freeze to stop Knox from displaying the annoying popup V9/#2206 - 2013-11-04
This is caused by Knox settings and some apps are tripping it to give this popup titled "Prevention Information". It has been reported occurring almost daily, and various users have also posted fixes. There's no real fix actually except to either root and freeze it, or accept the 30 day ignore checkbox.

QUOTE
The only solution now is happily see it every 30 days or..... root and disable all KNOX things, total 5 apps related to KNOX, include:
- KNOX 1.0
- KNOX 1.0 (don't ask me why duplicate)
- KLMS Agent 1.5
- Knox Notification Manager 1.0 (this should be the one buzz people)
- KNOX Store 1.0

Well that's what the changelog is for.....just read post 2 first.

I won't put homescreens and cases in the changelog though.

QUOTE(Mr Kong @ Nov 5 2013, 05:30 PM)
Hi there,
for those who own the n3, do u guys still have a tablet?
Because I am thinking of buying the N3 because it seems like a good replacement for my iPhone 4.
I am also considering buying an iPad mini with retina display.
So I am curious whether I can replace both with just a Note 3.
I read a lot on the internet. So what do u guys think?
Thanks.
*
A good tablet replacement is actually the Xperia Z Ultra but it suffers from the same problem...pocketability. If you're fine with it then get that instead of some fruit product.

If you're into productivity and want something more pocketable, Note 3 beats everything. Otherwise a Note 2 or LG Optimus G Pro is fine too.

Note 3 makes extremely good use of the stylus and lets you do some really cool things. Do read page 1 for an overview and user testimonies.

Many people say that android will lag after a year or even 6 months. Is that true?
*
Many say because they are probably fruit users. And all of today's high end Androids are like Ferraris or Lamborghinis. However if you use cheap lubricant for the Ferrari it will cause the engine to lock up.

Same applies. People usually install silly stuff in their devices, and that's the cause of the lag.

Hmm. In order to get the best of both worlds, isn't nexus 5 a better option since it is running stock.
If I were to buy a note 3+ iPad mini 2, it would set me back AT LEAST 3k and I can buy a MBA with that.
But I like 3 because of S pen, I like the fact that u can write things down immediately.
*
Yes for the S-pen, nothing beats the Note. Well, get Note 3 + Note 8. thumbup.gif
