is it true that HD515 n HD555 sounds abit lack of bass??

I bought a Senheiser HD515 back in Melbourne 3 years ago for Au$100 which is RM280 give or take.

I like to use it for listening to music. However, since two years ago I bought the Logitech Z5500 for my home computer. This pair of headphones have been collecting dust since then.

Do Senheisers manufacture those small headphones? I wanna get those to use in the gym though.

most of them is probably noise cancelation so that y they so expensive
bose more like branded name for all those ppl who could afford it
sen more like mid range
but it want to compare compare bose with audiotechnica
i think i will choose audio for it cheaper and almost on par with bose
afterall i think most of us can afford to get audiotechnica

anyway of cos hp600 and hp650 is best in the audio market but i think sen aledi didnt produce anymore of these babies anymore   
have a hard time looking for these babies

Is Senheiser a good brand?? I never use a branded headphone before..

owned a HD515, so, I guess I belongs to the Senn camp here..lol
I know its not the best headphone out there..If I have read reviews, would have gotten a HD555 instead..but its too late to regret now..^^;;
19 year old college student..so, I have a little budget only..

Anyways, I am here to ask a few questions:
1) Do HD 515 needs any amp??
50ohms is not too hard to drive right?? but when I put my headphone into my father's old AV amplifier (Cambridge Audio), its sounds better..the bass is deeper..and soundstage is wider..hmm..

2) Main music source is my Dell XPS laptop (listened to mostly 320kpbs mp3 a few FLAC..genre: R&B,J-pop, hip-hop..and occasionally, some orchestra)...not really satisfied with the onboard sound (internal Sigma Tel)..Do u think its worth it to upgrade to external sound card like Creative one?? u know, those plugged into the USB slot one..

hey guyz im back on da Senn camp with my latest acquisition of a very mint but used HD555. got it primarily for gaming & late nite movies but its turning out to be very very decent for porty use too. my sansa fuze (noted for its weaker output relative to da clip) drives it loud & sounds very nice to boot. amped its even better with a more tangible bottom & improved forward mids. highs are very airy & detailed wit very little or zero sibilance.

wot stands out for me is its huge & deep soundstage - perhaps even better than my ex HD600 but tats based on memory soo dont quote me on it. regardless this HD555 has a great soundstage. amped its better than my ex grado sr225 overall. de sr225 (again only based on memory) wins out interms of mid bass slam but i do think da HD555 wins everywhere else esp da huge headstage.

after trying it out for hrs lasnite -some of it lying on da bed- i can report its oso supremely comfortable. infact this mite be de most comfy fullcans i've tried.

O & for those wit a need to know, a well driven HD6xx will blow this outta water ofcos but....& its a huge BUT....unamped offa ipod or wotever DAP or even a soundcard, this HD555 owns its big braders.
its certainly surprizin me fo'sur & is IMHO a better 'audiophile' headcan than any of de lower-mid Grados

Thinking of getting either 2nd hand IE8 for my ipod or HD650 for my desktop..

Any similarities between them..? Since i've only hear IE8 before..
