Hi Everyone

First of all we have clearly stated on our thread and our website that "*Operator logo may vary, subjected to stock availability".

Therefore it is the buyers responsibility to check with us on what logo that we are going to send as we have indicated.

The problem here is the TS was not observant by not heeding our indication in bold.

If we did not state, it is our fault, but the thing is we have already done our part.

We have several types of logo with the same modem's model which is going in and out such as T-Mobile, SmartTone, SFR, "3" and the list goes on.

What we assure here is Huawei E372 with such indicated frequencies are supported and the our units are unlocked.

Below is the diagnostics report for Huawei E372U-8 (Smart Tone)

(2,13,14,16),(0-3),((2000000400380,"GSM900/GSM1800/WCDMA900/WCDMA2100"),(4a80000,"GSM850/GSM1900/WCDMA850/WCDMA1900"),(3fffffff,"All Bands")),(0-2),(0-4)

Therefore we have complied by providing a unit with the correct supporting bands as below

Band :

3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSUPA/HSDPA/UMTS 2100/1900/900/850 MHz

2G: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 1900/1800/900/850 MHz

The TS bought Huawei E372 and we sent him a Huawei E372. As indicated operator logo varies and we sent whatever is available according to our stock availability. We did send the TS Huawei and not by any other manufacturer. It is made by the same manufacturer with the same functionality.

SmartTone is just another network provider like Maxis, Celcom, Vodafone, Singtel and so on.

We assure all the units being sold by us are original / authentic and moreover we have given the TS Huawei's contact details to verify whether the product is original or not. Assumptions won't solve any problem.

Finally, the manufacturer is the same (Huawei), the model (E372) is the same but the operator logo differs as per indicated by us.

No foul play here on our side but lack of observation by the TS. Therefore we are NOT scamming here but just making things straight and easy.

Honestly, to be frank, we've been going back and forth with you (TS) and clearly do not seem to understand simple English of "*Operator logo may vary, subjected to stock availability".

To end this hideous madness, we will provide you with a full refund for the ITEM ONLY, provided that the item is in the same original new condition with its complete packaging and etc.

*Do take note, if you are planning to go ahead with the refund, the item must reach us by Tuesday, end of the day. Otherwise, consider the offer is void.

Regards

Most if not all sellers in LYN, never sells the original Huawei brand but from telco.
Strange thing is other sellers , knowing full well of this, also come bash, which I think is not professional

that is not the issue..as long it's e372
TS thought it's not E372 model cos SMARTONE got few different usb sticks which looks similar. he said he got the 7.2Mbps model.

i dont think he knows what he's got or what are the terms. People never read before buying. I know.
it was someone else that post a link which suggested that it was a 7,2

TS should have -
1. seek clarification from seller or ask for a refund. if that seller refuse then come and post
2. he should have done a speed test and also there are various ways to find out what frequency is this working on

I'm not saying that buyer shouldnt be pissed in getting something which is not as stated at seller's thread but he should first seek answers from the seller. And other sellers shouldnt come add fuel to the fire

do you even know what the phrase "may vary" even means or not?
it is reasonably to expect huawei logo is depicted different on the device, maybe different color, different placement or styled differently but NOT a totally different brand all together like smarttone!
that is just down right dirty bait and switch! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

Hi

For your information we have clearly stated the operator logo and not brand/manufacturer.

In case, you want to know the meaning for the word "vary", here it is http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vary

For your information, SmartTone is a network provider and the brand/manufacturer is still HUAWEI.

Please get your facts right before commenting.

He's selling a huawei e372.
Same stuff.
Just different logo/packaging.
Barang still sama.
And he did say that the looks may vary.
Nak murah opcos take the one from telco thus the reason ada smarttone aka the telco logo.

Both parties are at fault.

Buyer for not understanding that it's basically the same thing.

Seller for providing misleading photos. (Should show existing stock)

if what the seller says is correct, then his sales thread is misleading customers with products that he may not have despite the fine print

its not right for seller to push responsibility to buyer with picture of one product and deliver another with his terms - his terms is clearly meant to confuse and misrepresent what he's selling

Somebody giving sales pitch and forcing down your throat sweat.gif

If TS satisfied with the explanation than its OK ...or else send back the stuff or there is always the garage thread

But remember, if TS wanna sell the stuff in garage sale....put the picture as HUAWEI and dun forget the word "operator logo may vary"
So when unsuspecting customer buy your stuff, you can always state that its the same and the prints clearly stated logo may vary.... rclxms.gif tongue.gif

Seems like this is very good marketing rclxms.gif

Wow, I didn't think that Hua Wei's logo would be so important on the item

The true honest way of selling an item would be to post the original product and then there would be no ambiguity. The onus would be on the seller to then show that the product is the same as Hua Wei. The buyer is then given the choice as to whether he wants to buy it or not.

How would the buyer knows whether the chip inside is Hua Wei or from another company?

Susah bro...siapa nak beli modem Smartone?...dahlah outlook teruk, kotak cam kotak tisu...barangnya pun macam harga 10sen aje.....tapi, kalau letak gambar HUAWEI cantik cantik kilat kilat....pasti ramai yang beli...lepas customer dah beli....kalau ada yang complain, copy paste aje "operator logo may vary"
Biasalah...nak business...
