I also doubt their statement very much. Their psp is entitled one year international warranty! Are they kidding me?

sony where got original fw1.5 lah? all BS only... shops can aways promise this and that but when anything happened they wont entertain you lah.

want to ask a question here...if i want to buy a PSP, no matter new or second hand, it is still better for me to go for v1.5 or v2.71 ??

Hi, I'll getting a new PSP soon, appreciate your suggestions/comments. There are 2 version out there:

1. Version 2.50 downgraded to 1.5, and
2. Version 2.71 upgraded to 2.71 se-b
3. Version 2.71 upgraded to 2.71 se-c

Which version should I go for? also is there a difference in the motherboards, CPU, LCD & etc.

i sugged 2.71 se-c.. lol it can play *ahem* games.

2,71 se-c/b is NOT upgraded thru 2.71. its upgraded thru 1.5 if im not mistaken.
for me, i'd rather pick 1.5 rather than 2.71sec.
the only difference between psps rite now is the version of its motherboard.
if there's a code at the right side.(refer to pic below)
then, u've got a ta-082 motherboard. which u try and avoid for now.



I've heard that Japan's PSP hav nicer LCD than others.

Thnx for the replied. I think it is pretty hard to find 1.5 nowadays. Now, my reason getting the PSP is to watch movies and browsing, not so much on games. I went to sungei wang last friday, they offered 2.71 se-b for RM890 and 2.5(downgraded to 1.5) for RM880 inclusive 1 demo disc. Question is... do we really need a demo disc to load games? according to the shop owner, there is no need a demo disc if you go for 2.71 se-b..

yes, u dont need a umd when loading a game in 2.71se-c/b.
owh if games ur not worried about, go buy up2date firmware psp. much cheaper

I already contacted him, he offered me RM920 for version 2.01. RM890 is a value pack. Do you think I should go for the latest FW? is this case 2.71se-b? do you have msn or yahoo? can we chat further before I make my final decision. TQ
