Last I checked it was $400 cheaper than n5. You can buy like 8 powerbanks
with that much. |

QUOTE(shinchan5347 @ Nov 28 2013, 07:16 PM) it depends. first, n5 has 2300mAh vs n4 has 2100mAh. naturally, it is 9% better. secondly, the Snapdragon 800's sensor cores help to offload CPU.in theory, you should see noticeable improvement in battery if you phone is mostly low usage. ie: talk time benchmark: n4: 14:17 n5: 16:40 but in full power usage, where all 4 cores will be used, little difference. ie: gaming, browsing: n4: 4:34 n5: 4:46 in mix usage, you should still see improvement. but far better? i prefer the term incremental improvement. source: http://blog.gsmarena.com/nexus-5-grinds-th...y-test-routine/ |

It makes me wonder... Whether is all other manufacturer too good at managing battery/power management or is Google too bad at it? No optimization at all??in theory, you should see noticeable improvement in battery if you phone is mostly low usage. ie: talk time benchmark: n4: 14:17 n5: 16:40 but in full power usage, where all 4 cores will be used, little difference. ie: gaming, browsing: n4: 4:34 n5: 4:46 in mix usage, you should still see improvement. but far better? i prefer the term incremental improvement. source: http://blog.gsmarena.com/nexus-5-grinds-th...y-test-routine/ Nexus 4 has 2100 mAh (Erm... Same as S3???) Nexus 5 has even bigger, at 2300 mAh. But looking at gsmarena's battery test, just as benchmark... S3 is better than both Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, losing out only in talk time. Endurance rating, S3 50 hours N4 32 hours N5 40 hours despite bigger battery. Sometimes... It just make me think that Google never care about optimization for battery. Same battery capacity, both running on Android and Google is the core of android yet getting outperformed in this particular sector. Maybe next iteration of Android, they emphasize on this? Hope so |

No optimization at all?? Well I guess this is where they cut corners to make the price more affordable. Nexus devices always using latest tech in terms of proc, ram etc. I remember G.Nexus was the first one with 720p screen Nexus 4 has 2100 mAh (Erm... Same as S3???) QUOTE(alpha001 @ Nov 29 2013, 12:42 AM) That's the nature of the app. I think there's an xposes module supporting that. You should go through the list of xposed modules to see if there's one. I can't remember |
