now... here is something that totally make sense!

Android 4.4 (kitkat) will have a new launcher... Google Experience... and you can download this in Google Play... even for device other than Nexus!

So, HTC and Samsung friends wanna try butter smooth Nexus / Google experience... ya! just download this google launcher from Google Play!

KitKat's motto is "to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody."

Make sense right?

what kind of permission the official PvZ2 required? (Settings, App, PvZ2). Mine with stripped permission has no SMS, internet. I still allow it to view for connection but cannot use it to send data.

what kernel u use now ?
what rom and kernel u use till can gt 25k antutu benchmark and 6h sot ?
*
stock rom and self-compiled kernel. 25k antutu when overclock to 1.8ghz. 24k on default 1.5ghz. (http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=3585270)

6 hours SOT on single charge with light usage. this was benchmark much earlier, and i remember correctly, it was on 1.7ghz as max freq back then. i have to disable Jellybean from taking control of my max/min freq

CODE
1. adb shell
2. su
3. chmod 444 /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scale_min_freq

*warning: don't do it unless u know what u r doing!

(from my previous post: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry58015067)

and some massive undervolting. i have "faster" cpu binning. all my freq are custom undervolting to around -175.

It doesn't happen to you doesn't mean its not common,I can say many people experience this including me,but it happens when the first few weeks I update to Android 4.3 and stop using Google Chrome, but what I know is that its quite a common issue
*
i updated to 4.3, using chrome all along. didn't happen to me. i m the lucky few? don't think so.

i have seen enough people using custom kernel / rom / application that required root access (titanium backup?) and when problem exist, it's a become "common problem".

learn how to read "logcat". find out what actually causing the reboot. 99% of the time when i analyse it (back then when i build custom rom/kernel), it's others app that causing the problem. a simple mis-behave app can occupied most your resource and cost in-stability in your OS.

learn how to use a smart-phone.

Sifus here who was using 4.2.2 with stock ROM & Kernel, after upgraded to 4.3, what is the benefit in this version for our phone? Is that good to upgrade to that version?

By the way, how are you backup your app + data before upgrading?
*
Things that visible to user:

- Bluetooth Smart Ready
- OpenGL ES 3.0
- Dial pad - Autocomplete
- New camera UI

Worth to upgrade. If you are upgrading from stock ROM/kernel, using Over the Air (OTA), no need to backup anything. Just chose to upgrade.

I havent figure out the ChromeCast, so how exactly the ChromeCast works? hmm.gif Something like our Nexus 4 feature the Wireless Display? hmm.gif
*
- think of ChromeCast as a small portable VCD player with Wifi capability!
- connect ChromeCast into your TV HDMI input.
- use your phone, download ChromeCast app from Google Play
- use the App to configure your ChromeCast (set up the Wifi in ChromeCast)

Now, use your phone to play any YouTube, netflix video, you have option to "cast" it into the TV.

What your phone will do is to send the ChromeCast "link" (via your local wifi) to stream the video from Internet. ChromeCast will stream it and display it in your TV. You can still use your phone to control the playback, like to pause it, etc.

No Wireless Display, etc. Low tech.

Fun.
