Viking, don't get cheated by SA, honda malaysia never affiliated their cars with Raytech. In case, anything happen, it is still much depend on the SC to help for warranty claim. Again, if you think Raytech film is up to your expectation, why not give it a try! Btw, the guys there are quite friendly and helpful.
Ya, at first I think the SA maybe cheated. Sure he got the commission. After that I emailed Honda Malaysia to confirm the tint and 3rd party bodykit. Below is a respond from them.
Dear Mr. xxx,
Thank you for contacting Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
With regards to your enquiries, we do not encourage you to install tinting films from non-authorized vendors as any modifications or upgrades might cause complications to the vehicle’s wiring system.
As for body kits accessories, please be informed that any paintwork damages caused by external impactresulting in paintwork scratches, chips and dents is not covered under our Standard Warranty Terms and Conditions. [Refer to Warranty and Service Booklet, Page 15, 4. Warranty Exclusions, Clause 4.1 (4.1.2)]
Thus, these conditions will void your warranty if your vehicle is still within warranty period.
Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact our Toll Free Line at 1 800 88 2020.
Warmest regards,
Online Customer CareThen I replied to HM to confirm whether Raytech is an authorised tint for Honda. Below is HM replied.
Dear Mr. xxx,
Please be informed that our individual Authorized Dealers have their own vendors for tint film installation. As such, we strongly advise your good self to liaise with your Authorized Dealer for further clarification on this matter.
Your kind understanding is much appreciated.
Warmest regards,
Online Customer CareAs explained by my SA, during tint installation the car internal covers will be opened(eg. door), if any water splash into electronic parts (faulty component) then Honda will blame us. Warranty void.
After installation - GPS signal, rain sensor, light sensor, radio antenna, rear heater may got problem. Honda will blame us as well.
So the conclusion, Honda Malaysia didn't have any authorised tint vendor.
Only Honda authorised dealer have their tint vendor. (Brand depend on the dealer).
I choose Raytech (my dealer authorised tint) because I dont want any problem in the future. Any problem related with the tint and any affect to the wiring and performance cause by tint (during or after installation), I can claim the warranty straight to Honda. That all.
note: Raytech install my car tint film at Honda dealer place. No need to bring the car to raytech. I collect my car that already tint and I pay the tint cost at Honda also.
