Hi all....

I booked VTIL 2.0 - Modern Steel on 4th August and Loan was approved on 8th and sign agreement on 9th...SA initially informed 2 weeks will deliver and called n said for d colour no stock ..so prob will need to wait till mid sept...but will try n let get ASAP.

Till now no news of expected delivery but SA mentioned by this week he will let to know d status of when can approx get...again No news and also not registered plate no yet....

Booked in KL, Jalan Imbi.....

Any idea if can get before Merdeka?

Mine will be singing the loan when the car arrive. Most probably end of Aug. Had bought my number plate. Booked at Kah Motor, Jalan TAR. Btw, i got 3k rebate without any freebies.

Been looking into it right now. My 1st choice will be Primacy ST3, 2nd is conti maxcontact. Few owners here changed already. Wait for them to reply.

Guys how's the power for 2.0? Underpowered? Easy overtake? Climbing hill?

Well the 2.0 is sufficient enough for daily use. Overtaking is fine but don't expect the car to be zippy. Uphill climbs up genting was fine but don't expect overtaking uphill to be fast. Engine cuts off at 220kmh top speed. And also if you are planning to upgrade your ride in the future... the 2.4 will be almost the same price as the 2.0 of the same year when you sell it. So unless money isn't an issue for people, then of course 2.4.


Regarding rubbers for your car, I can only comment what I've used on my Perdana V6TT since my accord isn't due for a tire change yet.

Goodyear Asymmetry 2 - The best I've used , surefooted in the wet and even better on the dry. stable at high speeds and wear factor I had 60% left after 30,000Km. I will be using this ones my 9th gen runs outa its stock tires.

Conti MC5 - Sidewalls felt soft and less rigid , a more comfortable ride due to softer compound but wears out pretty fast , finished mine in 28,000KM.

Toyo Proxes T1R sport - Good grip on the dry, but seems to be less sure footed in the wet for me , hit big puddles and the car seems to aquaplane slightly. Lasted roughly 30k++kmh for me.

Kumho Ecsta Spt - Not bad till it wore down to 70%, then tire noise was very obvious and the tire tends to not wear out evenly, having "waves" on its thread. However it was good and surefooted on dry roads. Changed after 25k KM.

I like the Goodyear Asymmetry 2 the most. Though I haven't had the chance to try the Michelin PS3 due to its higher pricing. Info I've given is just my 2 cents worth, hope it helps. Cheers !



P/S has anyone had uneven wear on their 9th gen Good year assurance ? The tire shop guy says my tires worn out unevenly on the surface, it sounds like a bearing needs to be changed kinda noise.

Yea.. my goodyear had some uneven wear as well, but got it sorted out at the sc.. was some alignment problem.
Not sure about what year tyre i got but the stock ones was hard n very noisy, maybe the tyre hardened already haha.. but so far no complaints from 2 of my friends riding on 2.4 stock rims n tyres, in fact can compare with their previous rides. both driving VWs before this.

SA informed got stock for modern steel but I've booked for Black. Now in dilemma. Scared Black stock will delay for few weeks.

Got stock then hentam lor. Dun wait de if u like the colour. Hehe

My SA also informed me got stock but only gold.. shittttty colour for me
