Been raining all week here in ATL, and had plenty of chances to test/try the wipers. Here's what I've observed:
Moving the stalk control from OFF to AUTO causes the wiper blades to cycle once. Then, nothing happens at all. The raindrops build up on the windshield to the point of nearly zero visibility.
I rotate the outer dial all they way to max or min, and again, it does a one-wipe cycle then stops. Will do nothing else.
Works fine on low or high speeds, as well as the upper momentary speed. Rear wiper = 100%
So how is the system supposed to really work? How does it "sense" rain? It it optical or what? Is there a camera or some other light-sensitive device looking at the density of water?
