QUOTE(KTCY @ Nov 12 2013, 11:55 AM) Cyclingexpress. Aussie seller but items ship out from Taiwan https://www.cyclingexpress.com/?lang=en&p=p...%E2%80%93-Costs QUOTE No Hidden: Tax – Duty – Costs … + Intl. Delivery to Your Door Sometimes buying online can be a tricky business. Do you ever ask yourself things like which country’s taxes do I need to pay, and when my goods arrive, how do I know if my goods are subject to duty? Or will I have to pick that delivery up from some depot in the middle of nowhere? And, honestly, who even knows how to find a customs broker?! At Cycling Express, we don’t think online shopping should have that kind of anxiety associated with it. That’s why we’re offering to take care of all that for you. That’s right: no matter what you buy, how much you spend or where you ship it, we’ll pay all those extra (sometimes hidden) costs for you. And we’ll make sure your order is delivered to you, not somewhere else. Not only that, but we’ll do all the paperwork that goes with it. This really is a no hassle, delivery to your door service. So, get going. Jump into the webstore, and shop with confidence, knowing that the checkout price really is all you need to pay. Keep on rolling! The Cycling Express Team WTF.... |

QUOTE(miaopurr @ Nov 12 2013, 11:47 AM) maybe courier service charge KTCY maximum tax. they hold onto the money. if kena customs tax, they pay la. if customs charge not up to max %, they keep the balance. if tak kena customs, they also keep the money. hahahaha..... actually.. their stuff is expensive to begin with... without the sale.. dun even need to think about their stuff... QUOTE(mrjgx @ Nov 12 2013, 11:57 AM) In my case, the courier is DHL, if kena tax they will pay first and will call u about the tax. When they deliver to you they will give you the tax receipt for you to pay, only then he will handed over your items. no lar... they will ask u first before they go hijack it out of customs... they also dun wan to end up in no man's land mar.. .only when you give them the nod only will they go and clear customs one...That's good because it saves me the hassle of going to airport to pay tax. If there are any courier service that will pay tax for you and u don't need to pay the tax, pls let me know..hehe and nowadays... customs damn pandai.. they won't look at the declared value of the shipping consignment already.. they will instead get you to fax or mail them a legitimate invoice from the source so they can determine the value of the items to tax... so, the process to clear customs takes longer now... |

Hi there. Has anyone ever tried using solar headlights for night riding?
E.g. this from Cateye https://www.cateye.com/en/products/detail/S...210-F/moreinfo/ Would the light be bright enough to see 5 meters in from on night/early morning rides on Kesas moto lane? I.e. the light would only be to see the road surface in front, not to highlight my presence to opposing road traffic. |

QUOTE(berzerk @ Nov 12 2013, 12:25 PM) the light would only be to see the road surface in front, not to highlight my presence to opposing road traffic. actually, to be able to see the road surface is more demanding than to highlight ur presence. for example, a tiny blinker can be seen hundreds of meters away. but can it provide enough lighting to see road surface 5 meters away? This post has been edited by miaopurr: Nov 12 2013, 12:36 PM |

QUOTE(berzerk @ Nov 12 2013, 12:25 PM) Hi there. Has anyone ever tried using solar headlights for night riding? btw, if u read that page, it says the light is a safety light. not headlight.E.g. this from Cateye https://www.cateye.com/en/products/detail/S...210-F/moreinfo/ Would the light be bright enough to see 5 meters in from on night/early morning rides on Kesas moto lane? I.e. the light would only be to see the road surface in front, not to highlight my presence to opposing road traffic. so it's good enough as to-be-seen light only This post has been edited by miaopurr: Nov 12 2013, 12:55 PM |

QUOTE(miaopurr @ Nov 12 2013, 12:45 PM) opps my bad. anyway the reason I asked is because my current front light (Cateye Jido i think) is bright enough but uses 4 AA batteries & weighs like a small brick. I was thinking of getting a solar powered headlight that would be "bright enough" but require less maintenance (recharging, change battery). |

thanks, means I'll have to suck it up & carry the small brick or buy a rechargable one.
