Special? No lar it was a joke. Anyway the e5 is a bit soft for my liking. I don't know about others, but if you really serious about your wattage savings, the bike is a lemon

p/s: since there are other e5 users here, my statement above is purely frm my personal opinion on my own bike. it did feel great when i purchased but after a while it's started to feel soft. i guess that's true for every other alloy bike out there. the aging factor blush.gif my next bike frame would be....carbon

yup...me too feel the frame a bit soft...feel like the frame flex when out of saddle...very different feel of rigid carbon frame...
*
yup during out of saddle hard sprinting then you will notice the flex. normal ride it as good as other good bike nod.gif

helmet u have to wear on ur head and feel whether it suits ur head or not..can't simply read reviews and think it's good for your head shape. smile.gif

Saddle > helmet. Butt is more important than your brain tongue.gif

I'm thinking of building a new bike throughout the 2014..buy stuffs bit by bit. End of the year or early 2015 it should be completed by the time I'm back for good to KL. What's I have in mind is..white frame with dark wheels..to be built with climbing purposes in mind, no flat route. smile.gif Oh btw when the heck is sl5 going to be out? Next year TDF?

maybe ur butt not comfy and keep shuffling around and then crash leh

if butt comfy, maybe less chance of crashing and need helmut

active safety vs passive safety mah

furthemore butt related items u feel immediately while u dun crash on a daily basis

jus arguing for the sake of arguing la...

I concur! In fact that's what I meant, and I like the term active safet vs passive safety. For a longer ride, having a good saddle will be more welcome than a good looking helmet, unless you want to play stabbing games to either your butt or brain to test which one is more important blush.gif

QUOTE(butthead @ Nov 3 2013, 01:41 PM)

just save up all your money and buy it at one go lar...why buy a bit here and there... mana tau u buy SRAM 22 groupset now and then by the time your sl5 launches... SRAM comes out with a SRAM 23 groupo or you buy your 404 firecrest now and then zipp launches some zipp 404 firecracker by the end of the year...

then you'll go all WTFPKMMCH at that time.. just save the money and whack it at one go lar.. if stuff that takes time to send or you need pre-order... paling paling u mar order it 1 or 2 months before you plan to start your built lor....
*
Haha. Economically how much can I save by buying everything in one go? 10%? Ya2 perhaps I should be eyeing for other brands..r5ca maybe but definitely put of reach..and I'm a speci fans. Even their alloy bike handles greatly..make me wonder how does it feels to ride the best of the best (sl5) sweat.gif

BUtthead, im using force fd, diameter 34.9mm. as long as the diameter is right, i can buy the Red braze on right?

you need a time machine to do that....not the one BMC makes...
uhr... you mean you are on a clamp FD? and you want to change to a SRAM Red braze on FD?

you can buy the Red braze on FD... braze on's have no need for any seat tube diameter requirements... you just need to get a sram braze on converter clamp for your seat tube size and use the Red Braze on FD..and when it comes you need to move it to a frame with braze on instead of clamp... you just sumbat dan main..
*
haha sorry. i meant the adapter. i guess as long as it's the same diameter, red adapter also can fit in.

i just realized that sigma has the new rox 10.0 already. looks good and tempting. however too bad the speed sensor and magnet is not at the rear wheels like the garmin as i'm planning to utilize it for indoor training.
