off the bike for months, yesterday went ride with the uncles..had to grasp for air..my HR all in z4 already just to maintain 30-35kmh. now the problem is..why people want to go really really fast on the flat? there's no enjoyment in riding so fast on the flat

i prefer long slow climb up a very long and steep hills...suffering.

but of course, now 35kmh is the new 30

a few months back, i followed a group ride on a 100km flat route, with occasional rolling. they were pulling 34-37. damn. sure, with effort can keep up, but having to focus 100% on the pace and group dynamics, whilst heart rate hovering at 80+%, not really my idea of fun la.
