On AMD K8, it's almost unnoticeable unless you benchmark it.

For Intel, I don't know.

D9 Fatboy I guess. Well, you have to snap a close up shot on the chipset for us to identify. "MICRON DDR2 512MB PC2-5300 667MHz RAM" is just a description.

fatbody not fatboy doh.gif

the reason why the thing is called fatbody because the chip is BIG and WIDE, and it does not have any gender (which boy or girl is out of the story laugh.gif)

anyway... that chip is FAR from being fatbody, it's not fatbody at all... that if you have actually seen fatbody chips

it's just the low end D9xxx, not that overclockable. quite rubbish i should say.

you already got it in hand... just try it yourself. other people wouldn't know unless you give those to them to test.

the chips are labelled as PSC

The only advantage of fatbodies is that it can run x-2-2-x latency, but at higher speeds, more or less just like the newer D9Gxx.

It's like BH-5 vs TCCD

If you look closely, the chips are labeled with Micron D9DQT biggrin.gif

Lurking around lowyat for the second day, still can't find any good chips.

FP-C4 ones seem to be phased out and replaced with FP-Y5.
That's what National Service does to you. Wastes your opportunities. =.=

Trying to order something from yehlai.. Else do you have anything else to recommend Soulfly? Thanks ya.
