if we are to play 433, we need a super strong striker (LUKAKU!) to hold up the ball and bring in the players. Too bad Anzhi offered us Eto and Roman nodded his head. We had to let Lukaku loaned out to gain more playing time.

It's just 1 defeat guys, and Newcastle is our bogey team. So yea, heads held high and looking forward to how we bounce back from this defeat. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Nov 3 2013, 05:41 PM)
We've won only 1 away league game out of 5. So we can't we're still in a comfortable position nor we're in critical situation. Just that many other teams dropped quite a few points so far this season. As long the situation doesn't worsen from this point, we should be ok. Arsenal 5 points clear, so if they mess up, we have to capitalize and we won't if we fall to far behind.
*
Ya, have to agree that we are quite poor playing away from Stamford Bridge. But there are still 28 matches to go. Arsenal....if you ask me will they win the epl this season? I can't answer you yes. Ask me again in 10 games, the league table will show us the answer. Consistency is Arsenal's biggest problem. Don't forget Arsenal has yet to face Man City, Man Utd, Tottenham and Us.
Imo, the make or die period of the season will definitely be December. Iinm, about 3-4 games in 2 weeks i think. If we drop points there, really gg. So...optimistic til the max! My heart is always with Chelsea. biggrin.gif

I thought of it before, partner up Eto and Torres, but then the problem is who to sacrifice?

Hazard surely needs to be the winger dy, Ram and Lamps for midfield duo, who to play at the right? Oscar? Shurrle seems to be the natural choice. hmm.gif

If we really want to play 442, we need 1 very strong midfield. Someone like PSG's Matuidi or Sevilla's Kondogbia. thumbup.gif

This Kondogbia reminds me of a younger Yaya Toure. biggrin.gif

btw, what with Atletico Madrid and strikers... Torres, Aguero, Forlan, Falcao and now Diego Costa. damn

To be honest, Falcao is not produced by Atletico Madrid. Only Torres and Aguero played at Atletico Madrid starting from their young age. Forlan had a stinct in Man Utd. Atletico Madrid is a good club yo. Many good players produced there! biggrin.gif

Mikel completed 94% of passes and won all tackles...now can we drop and rest frankie for another day...?

Ram + Mikel combo seems to be nice. Mikel just tackles and sit back, while Ram can be good both attacking and defending. rclxms.gif

Ram Mikel pairing is more to solidarity.

Lamp Mikel pairing is more balance as Lamp's passing is usually nice. thumbup.gif

Arsengal vs Man Utd this weekend. Hope it's a draw or a win for Man Utd. We'll be facing West Brom, can't afford anymore slip ups! KTBFFH!

Very interesting choices. hmm.gif Azpi at left back? Maybe Jose is finally impress by him in the game against Schalke? Willian seems to be benefiting for his performance against Schalke too. thumbup.gif

I think Mou needs to think about our formation. Switch back to 4-3-3? Mikel, Ram and Oscar in the mid. I'm sure with this 3 we can control the midfield and play possession football.

+1 to Azpi playing at LB. You have Cole, 1 of the best current left back in the world. And you played Azpi?

Iva since long time ago I see him as Terry's successor. The moment he start playing at RB, I wad like 'what....'

So Mou, start Cole at LB and Azpi at RB for the next game.

Haih i do feel that playing azpi on the right vs wba could've made a world of difference, purely on his crossing ability and pace alone.

For the amount of space and time iva was afforded on the ball, the quality of his crossing was quite embarrassing. I love brana, but if he doesn't improve that aspect of his game, azpi should rightly take his place. Its well worth sacrificing that slight aerial advantage imo. Azpi was no slouch under benitez, and hopefully jose will realise this soon.
*
This explains why Iva should be a CB, not a RB. Iva is good in the air, tough tackler. His crossings really just normal. His pace too. But Mou see him as a Gallas. Rmb Gallas? Mou played him in CB, LB. biggrin.gif

To be honest. Our 3-5-2 not the ori 3-5-2. If u want a balanced 3-5-2, look at Liverpool's attempt. Enrique and Johnson being the wingbacks. Then Sakho, Skrtel and Toure is the 3 CB. This way it is more balance. Our 3-5-2 is just deployed when we're chasing the game. It's a modification from Mou. brows.gif

And to be honest, I think we drew the game because of Steve Clarke. He knows our club from inside out. So no big surprise he found a way to stop us from playing our football.

i always fancy iva-cahill or iva-jt combo. jt-cahill combo not too convincing since both players are of the same mould. rafa did play iva-cahill combo numerous time last season. and they look pretty solid.
*
Iva will definitely be a great defender. He is natural defending. He can bully strikers. People have been asking, after Lamps and Terry retired, who will be the next Chelsea captain? A lot answered Luiz, Cahill, Cech, but for me, I prefer Iva, he has been with us for quite some time now, it's his time to lead the team.

What if Mou recall Lukaku back on Jan transfer window? brows.gif hard to say. Maybe Mou will recall Lukaku back, loan out Torres. With Lukaku and Ba, we can revert to 4-3-3. Lukaku and Ba are good post up players that can bring wingers and midfields into play. brows.gif
It's still hard to say. All depends on how we perform in Nov and Dec. If we manage to get into form, I think Mou will not sign any player. As we know, Mou don't like to sign players on Jan transfer market.

"But Mourinho confirmed that there was no way Lukaku could return to Stamford Bridge this season, meaning the forward must continue to impress away from his proper club.

He said that there was no recall clause in Lukaku's contract, meaning he is definitely at Goodison Park until May."

we cant recall him during jan isit?

o.0 got sos? or official statement from our club? Too bad then. I was hoping to see Lukaku don the blues jersey. sad.gif
