It's a hard case. I know the phone will look better if naked, but still worry will scratch the side frame. My one is white, the aluminium side frame look easy to scratch...

yup, not much changes, at least it improves my phone batt life improve. now charging through pc for few hours already, still havent reach 50% mark, lol, better than last time, batt life decreasing when charging while using the phone. mine still have nfc icon when switch on.
camera wise, i'm not expert either, but imo the superior auto there might be some increase in iso for quicker exposure, which i find in some instances it could be a bit high. for manual, i think, pretty much the same, maybe some slight improvement on 20mp, but still find it not really impressive and a bit over rated.
still no root for 257 yet, maybe for those who wants to retain their root should consider not updating it.

Not much... black, red, blue (if i'm not remember wrongly)... They got another printed hard case like US and England Flag pattern.

lol, maybe my phone is good at sucking the juice out of my battery, but overall, still a very good phone, just some minor issue, actually quite happy to transition from iphone to sony, just not so familiar with android.

Battery wise so far no different to me. Need more time to monitor.
On a side note previously metals the smart screen on apps. After using it for few days confirm it drains battery. Consuming up to 7% of my battery.
But why your nfc icon still got? Mine confirm no more showing la.

Yeah. So far the only obvious improvement is the camera. But if any of you feels that the yellow hue issue is serious on your phone can try update it to see if there is any improvements

Mine also not showing.

To all Z1 users, I noticed following issues happening with my unit for the past 3 weeks:

1. Auto Restart by itself - so far I witnessed this twice with my own eyes, not sure if it happens too when in my pocket or left it unused on table

2.Buggy Calendar – month/agenda list view stuck at first event (view will bounce to top even after scrolling down, calendar often crashed after/while refreshing, laggy interface after refresh button is clicked

3. Camera file naming – file naming resets back to 0001 once photos are removed from folder


Wanna ask if there's any fix for above 3 issues? Sony Z1 is a great phone and these software issues kind of bug me. I'm coming from HTC One and never have such issue with HTC. I would say HTC's Sense OS is more stable than Sony's version of Android...

found a problem with the camera, like previously Jloi mention, ISO 800 and above, it refuse to auto focus at certain bright situation, i try auto focus at my TV screen with ISO 400 all ok, but when set to ISO 800 and above, it refuse to autofocus. anyone please try too and revert here, i want to know is my unit problem or it is camera bug.

mine is ori straight from sony malaysia

just tried with mine

at a certain distance it can auto focus

then if i pull back further it can't focus anymore
