My GaGa FLX 1.6 now left 2/6 bars of petrol, trip meter 18X KM. City 60%, "Highway" 40%. Most of the time try to stay </=2000 RPM.
I assume the FC should be better after my 1st 1000KM service? This post has been edited by Eugene91: Oct 14 2013, 09:01 PM |

(NB. Method of doing that has often been repeated in Gaga threads... ) And yup, FC wld improve in time... Finally hope yu din choose a Gaga for its FC.... Suggest yu juz enjoy yr Gaga... If that's the case then I should keep it man. But my question is still not solved. Can it fit a component speaker? RM1.5k for that stock unit(it probably only worth RM100 in reality). They had to jack up the price from the manufacturer, so they subcontractor who order that cheapo HU can take a 500% margin. There's different type of component set. Read the RMS watt provided. Anything below 150watt is good to go. However, those speakers with >150watt readings, your HU may not able to pump up energy. Technically, any component set also can go in. U wanna plonk 4x 12" double coil triple magnet sub on all 4 corner also can, provided you can mount them. The problem lies between, whether you can hear anything with higher watt? Or whether can your speaker tahan with lower watt. Take out the original speaker and see, stock factory speaker rating usually 15~25W nia. With a 50W x 4 channel HU, it can easily make loud sound already. But when you turn the volume to 25, the speaker already cracked. If you're putting in speakers that run good on 300W on the stock HU, you'll probably need to turn the volume all the way to 33, just to hear sound like on a headphone. Strongly suggest you go to the back of your car, plonk +- wire on the stock speaker, connect it to your component speaker(bass mid unit, no need the passive crossover), and listen whether the difference in volume compare to stock is significant. If the new speaker isn't far too less volume, then it's a good to go. If new speaker louder than the stock speaker, please throw it away already. Do remember, the WATT rating on these Caina made speakers are all boast. Usually they yield much lower spec(including SONY6x9 3 way speaker, that rated 200WATT but can't even tapau our stock 25W 5 inch). So, good luck. U need to do some own research from now on. Don't cincai go buy stuff, in the end kenot use waste money. |

QUOTE(ReaperOfSoul @ Oct 14 2013, 11:53 PM) Thanks for such comprehensive reply. I'm not buying any stuff since I'm planning to fix in my Boston s60's from my previous car. The crossover states 55w rms only. So it's good to go? My ICE are on Boston S60, and if done well, they do sound pretty decent and they have lasted me since early 2009 after all |
