I've heard that these so-called "teacup" puppies actually don't exist in any breed's standards but it's just a marketing strategy some breeders/pet shops use so that they can sell it for much more! Apparently they starve them so they won't grow that big or they're probably the runt of the litter (The weakest)! They also don't live as long as the healthier sized ones.

Haha! Reminds me of something really funny. There was a customer at Zack's place looking for a teacup Chihuahua or something like that a few weeks back and he had to 'educate' her, technically. Lol! That's how I found out too. That's why he says you'll hardly ever see these "teacup" puppies at his place.

But some dogs are sooo cute when they are in small sizes, I heard there is injection to inject your dog so it will never grow bigger D: but really so cruel to the puppies, poor thing.

Baby Mina, I know huh! I've heard about that and you're right, it's extremely cruel! Have you seen the "bonsai cat" attachment that used to be circulated around the internet? It's totally horrific! I know I wouldn't want them! Lol!

Pandacid, if you want to have a look at a "live" snow white Pomeranian, Zack has one now at Ikano. He's got a lot of Pomeranians on display now, mostly imported from Taiwan. Orange, cream and even parti-colour! *SO* adorable!

White Poms very rare in Malaysia, but very famous and nice to get in Taiwan.
If want to get it from Taiwan or Thailand, would be adviced that becareful when purchase from the seller.
Mostly those black hearted seller will send their dogs into Malaysia when the pups is lesser then 3 month old.
Besides, no vaccination and rabies shot given for those people who smuggle in those dogs. smile.gif

**Take it as compliment because lately a lot seller smuggle in their dogs frm Thailand and SPCA are very concern about this** blush.gif

Hi Peter, good to hear u're back... its been 2 weeks since Prince came home and he has been keeping us very busy rclxub.gif haha..

We've had a couple of incidents where he fell sick and hopefully he gets well soon sad.gif . Just to share our experience, the first time was during his first wk home, he vomitted. Was worried he ingested some chemical so brought him to vet and recovered - reason was maybe because we had set our AC too cold.

Yesterday was more serious, he started having diarrhea, with some signs of blood and then black watery stool and loss of appetite doh.gif . We fed him glucose and 100plus to get him through the nite so we brought him to see the vet today and he is now recovering. We think the main reason behind all this is because he has been playing with newspapers and cloth so he may have ingested some which has caused his tummy and intestines to be infected and blocked.

So lesson learnt is to make sure we keep an close eye on him to make sure he doesnt chew on newspapers and cloth with threads which come off easily. Also always hav glucose and 100plus on standby for emergency.

He is now on antibiotics and hopefully the laxatives will help clear his bowels.. praying he gets well soon sad.gif
