not all insurance company will accept amex, which means you will not get 5% and 2x tp (not 5x tp for insurance).

watami got rebate for all insurance? i think i could not meet HLB wise spending condition to get the 10% rebate
*
yes, aeon watami cc has 3% rebate for all insurance. but one of the requirement is you need to use the cc to achieve minimum rm3k every quarter, otherwise 0% rebate.

if you have ea form, you may attach as supporting to prove you earned more than rm24k a year. yes, working in a public listed company is an advantage.

you need to attach it when applying. actually not needed but just an additional supporting documents. as for public listed company, unless you are working in a subsidiary company, otherwise your company has berhad at the back, which is an advantage when applying.

been reading few months now in this card subforum, still cant decide (for now) the better complement for mbb2cards AMEX.

Purpose: Searching for Visa/Mastercard for retails not accepting AMEX.

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes
3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate Only
4. Existing credit cards if any:  Maybankard 2 Cards Gold
5. Looking at CC from: Any cards that give better than 1X TP from mbb2card Visa.

6. Others:

-- Monthly spending <RM1K (average RM500-600, inclusive petrol of ~RM200). Non-frequent dining out (usually kopitiam tongue.gif)
-- No problem using AMEX on weekends for petrol, Unifi, Tesco, Paypal (US retailer).
-- Possibility to waive RM50 GST, by points or waiver.
-- So far, OCBC Ti is OK for general use. No GST waiver is turning me off smile.gif

thanks!
*
with your low monthly expenses, i think it's good enough to use only mbb2cards so that you won't incur another gst for the new cc. 1x tp from mbb2visa/master equals 0.4% which is also better than the 1% ocbc tmc when the gst kicks in (for your case). because the gst for mbb2visa/master is combined with mbb2amex so there is no additional cost for you to bear.

thanks victorywp!  thumbup.gif

was considering the same too. keep mbb2cards as is. dont waste unnecessarily by paying gst to govt tongue.gif
*
if your monthly expenses reach over rm1.5k, then maybe you can consider another cc. smile.gif

in a year, averaging <1K per month.

i recently swiped 2.5K using mbb2card visa (amex not accepted by the merchant), hence was considering a 2nd card for such "big" purchases.  sweat.gif

i foresee 2-3 more such transactions (~2K per swipe) within this year.
*
if that's the case, you can go for aeon watami cc. 3% quarterly rebate capped at rm150 per quarter. but one of the requirement is that you need to swipe minimum rm3k per quarter to qualify for the 3% quarterly rebate. it can be any transaction except for petrol.

1. Annual Income: 60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Free

3. Card required for: Dining, Shopping

4. Existing credit cards if any: Pbb Visa Esso

5. Looking at CC from: Any (MBB2cards rejected me 3 times d  cry.gif )
*
thought of advising you for mbb2cards but since you have been rejected 3 times...
you may go for aeon watami 3% cash rebate with max rm150 cash rebate per quarter.
one of the requirement is to swipe minimum rm3k in a quarter (any day and anything except for petrol) to qualify for the 3% cash rebate.

Since my salary goes into maybank, does the bank need my payslip again. So, will I get two cards then?
*
yes, they still need your 3 months payslip.
yes, you will get 2 cards if you apply for mbb2cards.

Hi guys, please do advise me for best CC for following criteria.

1. Annual Income: RM30K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Free

3. Card required for: utilities (TNB, TM), Petrol (Esso), Insurance (GE)

4. Existing credit cards if any: no CC before

5. Looking at CC from: Anywhere

6. Others: Looking for cashback CC, but other also can consider.

TQ... biggrin.gif
*
mbb2amex (weekends = 5%+5x tp (2% equivalent), weekdays 5x tp (2% equivalent))
- good for utilities (tnb & tm) payment during weekends via m2u
- good for petrol during weekends
- insurance ge not accepting amex, but still can use mbb2master to pay with 1x tp (0.4% equivalent) = at least you don't need to apply another cc and incur another gst

Thanks for your suggestion. if i apply this CC, they issues two card right, Amex and Visa? What different between this two other than those cashback and tp?
*
yes it's 2 cards (amex & master OR amex & visa).
amex gives you 5%cb + 5x tp on weekends, 5x tp on weekdays
master/visa gives you 1x tp everyday

1x tp equivalent 0.4% (based on conversion to redeem cash vouchers)
5x tp = 0.4% x 5 = 2%

perhaps you should ask your spouse or family to apply another aeon watami so you can double up your usage capacity. brows.gif
