Question, if I want to look for a replacement tyre for my Inspira 2.0P, what tyres should I look for? My father went to a shop nearby my house in Bangsar and was quoted RM500 which I think might be bull. Current one I think is 17" Continental.

Where did u get the price for Michelin? I'm interested to change as well.

Hi, I change near my hse pandan indah.

Chia auto centre. Near in house cafe. Cheaper than leader tyre pandan.indah

My personal experience after one week use XM2, less noise but the grip seems not as good as my old yokohama blue earth tyre.
Need to press brake harder to stop and corner time like less grip.

Actually I wanna change bridgestone ecopia 200 at their select shop in balakong but lazy drive there.

Hi,

Need advice on the price range for CSC 5 235/45 R17. Was quoted RM 900 per tyre which seems a bit too high considering run flat are going for RM700 as quoted here. Tyre almost botak so need to change it fast.

Thanks

Conti MC5 price is quite steep compared to other lower range tyres. In my area, for 16" is around MYR 360-380.

Just found that it has 2 choices to choose.
Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 and Hankook Kinergy Eco (K425).
In terms of fuel effciency, comfort, quietness and good grip which one will be the best choice? icon_question.gif

Guy, I got myself a Yokohama Geolander for my kembara. I'm no expert but want to ask, from the kembara indication it say 185kpa or 26psi for rear and back. But when I change my tire at the shop, the shop owner suggest I to pump the tire to 220kpa or 32psi. Izit okay to pump at this pressure?

Hi all,
Anyone can suggest tyre and it's pricing for 215/55/17?
Prefer quietness and fuel saving, been using Ecopia EP200 previously, wondering are there better ones out there?

Thanks a lot.

geolander max psi quite low. my 215-65-16 max=40psi. l max mine to 36. takut .. 90% of the tyre specification.
better to follow the tyre not the tech. kid.
if tyre blow up while u drive, you die not him.
anyway l just change to michelin, max 50psi stated on tyre.

geolander very good on rainy road , only a bit noisy on highway . it is a off road tyre... tahan lasak..
you better reduce the psi to 24 on the save side . the manufacturer don't print that for no reason

Any recommendations for Tyre Size size215/50/17.
Require Good handling/performance in both dry & wet, comfort/ nvh to be good in a long run.
Driving style, 70%Normal Driving (City70%, Highway 30%), 30% occasional fast driving & cornering on highway(10%).
Which is the best of thiese two Advan sport v105 vs Goodyear Assy 2, in terms of Preformance/handling and comfort/noise?
Thanks

Both v105 & F1A2 do not have size 215/50/R17. For Yokohama you can only have S.Drive while for GY you can have F1D5 which I'm using now. The F1D5 is pretty good in the dry & wet but a bit noisy. Better option might be the Michelin PS3.

Hi sifus, im planning to change my tyres soon.
My budget around 1.3k to 1.6k
Aggressive driver, must be quiet tyre (currently using CC5 and it sucks), high speed driver (140-200km/h)
the size is 205/55/r16

Michelin PS3.

I can't find any print on the tyre stated the maximum pressure. Mine was G046. So how you feel when you max your to 36psi? The day I change the tyre I'm driving with 32psi and it feel bumpy. Then I just change back to the recommended 26psi and it feel less bumpy(now want to compare between this 2 pressure which one can safe fuel). Haha, will definitely stick back with the recommended pressure. Just want to ask around a good tip in maintaining the tyre if we pump it not based on the recommended pressure that all. Thanks for your info.

Yes, like what u said. The geolander do have good handling during rain but down side is it really noisy on the highway. I'm been using Michelin XM1 for 8 years, must say it is one of the best brand when choosing tyre.
