TQ. I went to ask one shop, the uncle ask me change to 15" rim add RM600 after trade in ori Perodua rim. Bridgestone ecopia 150 for RM159 each. Alignment n balancing RM15.
*
Usually original rim is quite strong, if you change to China/Taiwan made rim, you have to becareful as it might not be strong/solid and easily dent or breakoff unless you go for very good Japanese/Germany rim starting from RM4-5K for new RIM.
Furthermore, when you going towards low profile tyre, then you will start spending money on either changing rim more often or repair dented rim more often.
Of course, you will feel to more confident to attack corner while driving fast when using low profile tyre.
Pros and Cons. You decide the best option.

Thanks for the info. My friend advise stick with the ori rim and get a better tyre. Can save money on the rim too.

Yes, your friend is right. You may tried Ecopia EP200 for more towards good rolling resistance & low noise and Dunlop J5 for decent wet & dry grip & quite low noise. Other brands/models like XM2 (branded but still very expensive but 2 big longkang only) and C Drive 2 (aquaplan resistance should be very good due to 4 big longkang vs normal 3 longkang) never tried before but you may give a try.

You may try Bridgestone EP200 as my friends both using same tyres and found to be suit the car well.
Maybe Vios is softer suspension, this suit this tyre well.
Grip wise is still quite reasonable good for the Eco and normal city driving and not whacking corner and drive fast.
Or you may try Dunlop J5, which is quite good and soft and quite good grip.

Got quoted RM195/pc for ps3 195/50/r15 by a seller in Gombak

Seems very low as all other places are quoting between 230 - 250.

Have not gone personally to the shop yet. Worth checking out?

Guy can recommend a good tyre for Kembara, currently using a MICHELIN XM1 205/70/R15 (More than 5 year).

Plan to get a new tyre for 70% long distance driving and 30% city driving.

Will prefer a durable type, as most of the time will drive to the construction site.

Hope you guy can suggest the type should be use, budget wise let say around (corrected)RM300 to RM400 per tyre. Seem like 205 type no lesser than RM300 sweat.gif
