QUOTE(Rojak @ May 13 2015, 09:53 PM) Usually original rim is quite strong, if you change to China/Taiwan made rim, you have to becareful as it might not be strong/solid and easily dent or breakoff unless you go for very good Japanese/Germany rim starting from RM4-5K for new RIM. Thanks for the info. My friend advise stick with the ori rim and get a better tyre. Can save money on the rim too.Furthermore, when you going towards low profile tyre, then you will start spending money on either changing rim more often or repair dented rim more often. Of course, you will feel to more confident to attack corner while driving fast when using low profile tyre. Pros and Cons. You decide the best option. |

QUOTE(Rojak @ May 14 2015, 02:29 AM) Yes, your friend is right. You may tried Ecopia EP200 for more towards good rolling resistance & low noise and Dunlop J5 for decent wet & dry grip & quite low noise. Other brands/models like XM2 (branded but still very expensive but 2 big longkang only) and C Drive 2 (aquaplan resistance should be very good due to 4 big longkang vs normal 3 longkang) never tried before but you may give a try. Tq. Xm2 selling at Rm220 at my place. I'm now using yokohama bluearth, worth the money. |

I have survey around for my Myvi, 185/60/14 and got the following quotation (all price exclude GST) and free alignment, balancing and rubber valve.
Michelin XM2 - RM190 Yokohama C Drive 2 - RM180 Yokohama Blue Earth AE01 - RM170 Continental CC5 - RM185 Bridgestone Ecopia 200 - RM160 Bridgestone seems the cheapest in the range. Michelin, Yokohama and Continental price quite similar. What you think? My current Yokohama Blue Earth have served me for 21 months and 60k km ++ now and it's time to change. |

QUOTE(alicia @ May 24 2015, 04:29 PM) Hi, I change near my hse pandan indah.Chia auto centre. Near in house cafe. Cheaper than leader tyre pandan.indah My personal experience after one week use XM2, less noise but the grip seems not as good as my old yokohama blue earth tyre. Need to press brake harder to stop and corner time like less grip. Actually I wanna change bridgestone ecopia 200 at their select shop in balakong but lazy drive there.
