It's not static unless you're on a business account.

with temporary ipv6 address implementation in place on most OSes with slaac, you will not be able to statically map nodes to ipv6 address in conventional sense.

use dynamic dns.

Sure you can, the old-fashioned way of setting up your IPv6 address manually still works smile.gif

Moogle Stiltzkin Apparently, I'm now facing a similar problem that you mentioned, it takes 5-15min b4 TM decides to give a IPv6 gateway while the IPv6 prefix delegation is working as expected. I swear I didn't had this issue during the evening when I was testing.

I'm not sure what's the issue, or whether its temporary problem at TM's side as I took the time to flash my Tomato router and found that Toastman has removed radvd in his newer builds. So now, I'm relying on dnsmasq for DHCPv6. The only problem that I'm facing with using dnsmasq is that from 2.66 onwards, it based the MTU on the local interface which is "/proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/br0/mtu".
and enabling IPv6 on LAN announcement with this in dnsmasq.conf
CODE
enable-ra
dhcp-range=tag:br0,::1,::FFFF, constructor:br0, ra-names, 64

Side note: I might need to ask my fren to let me experiment more on his Unifi becuz I pulled this out of the modem
CODE
interface br0
{
       AdvSendAdvert on;
       AdvManagedFlag off;
       AdvOtherConfigFlag on;
       MinRtrAdvInterval 100;
       MaxRtrAdvInterval 300;
       AdvLinkMTU 1472;
       prefix 2001:e68:ffff:ffff::/64
       {
               AdvOnLink on;
               AdvAutonomous on;
       };
       RDNSS 2001:e68::ffff:ffff 2001:e68:2005:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
       {
               AdvRDNSSPreference 8;
               AdvRDNSSOpen off;
       };
};

Interesting part is that TM sets Unifi's MTU to 1472

Not a script, just the config I used. I no longer using the previous script becuz Radvd is remove from the newer builds since by now, dnsmaqs "in theory" is more capable than radvd by the authors

Happy new year all!

My office Unifi Biz is finally hooked up with IPv6. It took about 2 real weeks to get it setup from the moment that we called. The installer came today but he had to leave without doing anything as we were using our own Mikrotik router.

We are assigned a static /56 with 63 days expiry time.

anyone managed to get pfsense working with unifi ipv6? tried slaac & dhcp6 and it's not working.

if i do an ifconfig in the pfsense box, i get this

pppoe0: flags=88d1<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,NOARP,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1492
inet6 fe80::20c:29ff:fee2:41b1%pppoe0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x8
inet6 2001:e68:5061:5cd7:20c:29ff:fee2:41b1 prefixlen 64 autoconf
inet 118.101.15.60 --> 118.101.15.254 netmask 0xffffffff
nd6 options=3<PERFORMNUD,ACCEPT_RTADV>

does that mean i'm getting the ipv6 address?

EDIT: After visiting this page, it seems like the problem is with pfsense 2.1 Release.

https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=68364.0

If i add a route like what one of the fella said, i can ping google via ipv6 using the pfsense box.
Before i add the route, I can't ping it. IPv6 ip is shown but 100% loss.

I manage to config tunnel broker with my router. However, open up ipv6.google.com is OK but not ipv6.forum.lowyat.net. Any idea?

Router is Asus with Merlin Build.

Doesn't need to open up ipv6.forum.lowyat.net.
forum.lowyat.net is already ipv6 capable.

Oh ok. Seems that if I check my public IP is already IPv6 but lowyat.net doesn't recognise. hmm.gif

Does anyone have use the new 6.9 router OS for mikrotik

I notice in the change log, they fix IPv6-Prefix assigning

What's new in 6.9 (2014-Jan-31 11:18):

*) lcd - added option to change the color-scheme;
*) updated bootloader firmware;
*) ppp: fixed RADIUS accounting;
*) ppp: fixed IPV6-Prefix assigning;
*) ppp: fixed dial-on-demand;

If you're using Unifi Biz with static IPs, you need to call TM to enable IPv6 for your account.

hmm this AC68U seems to be different with N56U/N66U IPv6 configuration, maybe its not optimized yet
