Did some macros today when there's light rain. But it was near dusk so I have to boost up the ISO. Using built-in flash also. Critiques are welcomed. smile.gif

Ya using Raynox and my Nikkor 35mm. I cropped for composition and better magnification, except the first one. Hence, you can see the distinct grains.

But, I'm satisfied with this quality. nod.gif

Edit: Correction. The first one also cropped doh.gif sweat.gif
And those are Kerengga (ants too in Eng). tongue.gif
Big kind of ants, normal ants can't even focus. laugh.gif

Awesome photos bro!
Especially #1! In-flight shots are not easy at all yo notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
As for the other photos, let's just say ants are a bit too common, a bit hard to get very special shots haha hmm.gif

Can use Raynox 250 conversion lens like I did, cost like RM300+ I think. But, of course, the quality is not par as dedicated macro lens.

Buy one buy one brows.gif
A Raynox, as suggested by bro copperwire93 is also a great choice it seems thumbup.gif Much cheaper than any dedicated macro lens/ auto extension tubes~

I'm afraid the bee sting than the ants. Also, get quite a lot bites from the mosquitoes. flex.gif

that's normal for every macro shooter, you wanna get good shot you have to sacrifice tongue.gif

most bugs will hide under damp and dark places and when you search for them to take pictures, that's the time those nyamuk will rape you gao gao and you don't even realise since you are so concentrated on getting good shot
