I'm very interested, but too bad, still sticking to buying either a D800 or maybe this end of the year depending on the difference in price because no budget atm.

But recent buyers of the D600 are soooooo gonna rage.  rclxub.gif

D800 is the better pick brows.gif Go for it XD
But do make sure your other accessories and computers are up to the task as well, but I guess it shouldn't be too much of a problem for you la rclxms.gif

Yay, and to think that the D600 was the bargain of the century during its time sad.gif

Yes, if compare between D600 and D610..the only different is the shutter speed improved by 0.5fps. Image Q are the same. If the shutter on the out going D600 has been replace with newer version..its teh best ever bargain to grab it..furthermore its an FF body..

My desktop can handle the workload no problem, thing is I need to start organizing my existing files as well as getting a backup 4TB drive already since my 500gig drive is almost full sweat.gif

Yeah, definitely will need more storage especially if you are shooting alot laugh.gif
I've become very strict with my photos lately to save space since I've only got 256GB sweat.gif
And its better to backup in multiple 1TB HDDs rather than saving all in one

Well, don't shelf your camera until fungus germinate laugh.gif
I remembered I always bring my D90 everywhere I go until my friends are all afraid of me doh.gif But if I get exp, why not? hehe XD

A good photo is a good photo regardless of which mode you used yo icon_rolleyes.gif
A better camera will only help you to get a desired shot easier, but in the end it depends on you whether the shot is good or not. Of course, its easier said than done haha, that's why need a lot of practice laugh.gif

Hi, quick question. A friend wants. To buy a d600 used at 4.3k 5ksc. It is quite obvious that this has the sensor dust issue.

1) hes into mostly f 1.4-5.6, according to lensrentals, there shouldnt be any issue, is this true?

2) the af points are clustered in the middle, how do you guys find it? Severely limitating?

3) if the sensor dust appears at f5.6 and larger, will it really resolve after the claimed 10-12k pic?

Sorry for asking this here. Ive read all over, my head is filled with different user experience i cant tell if its real or not

1. No will not be visible at large apertures.
3. Nikon provide free cleaning forever.

2. Depends on your work or subject, personally doesn't affect my work.

Based on what I know:

1. The oil and dusts won't be that obvious at that particular F range. But then, there are plenty of times when one needs to up the aperture value laugh.gif

2. I think whether the clustered AF points will affect the user or not depends on his shooting style... I suppose it won't be too limiting since we can always recompose or crop. Still, better ask the actual users for better feedback

3. Most people say that the oil splattering issue will go away after awhile (though the actual no. of SC is not fixed). After all, how much oil can there be? laugh.gif
Post-processing softwares are pretty smart nowadays, and can help ID and remove spots/oils fairly easily. Just that most people are not happy that such an issue still exist when they've paid so much money for the D600.

Personally I think the price of the D600 will go down even more when there are more D610 owners. If you really want a D600, its better to buy it then. Otherwise save for a D610 instead. Although Nikon offers free sensor cleaning, you will waste a lot of time and effort going to-and-fro from the centres, and you will miss a lot of shots during that time. And like what the sifus here have mentioned, Nikon will probably start charging for sensor cleanings after warranty is over Removed based on silverfire sifu's comment.

Its just a guess haha, but the price can only go lower since there's no demand? hmm.gif
And there's not much D610 users yet, that's why many are rushing to sell the D600 while they still can hmm.gif
