Hi everyone, i just got my car last week. I notice when my air cond compressor kick in i can hear a loud 'tak' 'tak' noice, is this normal at every Jazz? My steering is also having some noise while i turn it.

Hey. I notice the "tak" "tak" noise as well but not sure where it come from. The noise has been there since the first day i got the car and my car is almost 2 years now. So far no issues. I guess its normal maybe.

That compressor sound seems not a good sign.
But for steering wise, you may hear some hissing sound after first few min starting engine. This is normal.
*
Mine not hissing sound, the sound is like the steering is friction with the plastic bracket and it produce the sound whenever i turn my steering at both direction. Anyway my SA told me that reassemble the components will do. Will update later, send in my car to SC on thursday

I got that loud 'tak' 'tak' noise too, I asked my service advisor he said its normal  blink.gif  not sure who to trust now hahahaha
*
I asked the Service Advisor too, he told me that it is the sound of the compressor magnet being too strong so it got the 'tak' 'tak' sound when the compressor kick in and out

No worries, our car cover with warranty just not sure is the warranty cover when the compressor kong. maybe just try to tell them during service and let them to have a check on the compressor. Seems like not every owner over here having this problem. Do you notice the sound during the first day you got your car?

So only me, you and @M@rine notice this sound, one more psr516 is also having this issue.

Hey guys!

Recently purchased a Honda Jazz a month ago

Does the HDMI connection works with your car?

I tried connecting it to my Iphone 6s unfortunately it only appears on half of the screen and it is distorted

This is how it looks like

It appears that the right half of the screen is actually working as you can see the clock is functioning perfectly fine..
Thanks so much for your time! Haha

ur HDMI dongle cannot support the lower resolution screen of the unit. they need to support 480p or lower else those that made for 720p/1080p will show half screen only

If i'm not mistake for iphone you can get lightning to HDMI converted cable from apple store and connect it directly to your car HDMI port then select HDMI from source. For android there is also same converter available but it didn't works on all phone model. Currently i'm using HDMI dongle to mirror cast my phone screen. You do need to install a bypass cable too else when you release your Park Brake/handbrake the screen will be disable automatically.

But my Jazz is spec E so just a ref to you. I use ez cast to mirror my android phone screen at another car

Unfortunately the Mirror Link app functionalities in Malaysia is next to nothing.

Forget the navigation possibility on the unit, use your own phone instead.
