QUOTE(jack2 @ Jan 24 2011, 05:02 PM) So good ka? So can just go there directly without the need to perform any applications other than buying air ticket and having passport? Based on experience, better to print out all your travel documents (i.e. hotel bookings, flight bookings, car rental confirmation, etc.) to prepare to present it upon arrival at immigration.

QUOTE(ckuanglim @ Feb 9 2011, 11:05 AM) Hello, Do we need to apply for any travel document (eg. Visa) for travel to Europe (France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy) for less than 15 days? From what I experience, no. We don't need any Visa to travel to European countries. However, do get ready your travel documents such as flight and hotel bookings, travel itineraries just in case for immigration purposes.

For those who had submit application for Canadian Visa or who knows the answer to my question: For "proof of sufficient funds", can we provide photocopy of statements and receipts/proof of assets or they require a certified true copy or the original copy?

QUOTE(x0x @ Aug 23 2012, 09:57 PM) Frens, how do i make a passport photo for my 10-old month baby? It seems hard for a baby to take passport-style photo right? Check with photo shops, I'm sure they provide the service. I have tons of passport photo of myself when I was a baby. My first trip overseas was when I was 3 months old, had to stick my photo in my mum's passport.

QUOTE(K1d0 @ Jun 9 2013, 11:43 PM) Dont forget to bring your flight ticket and hotel reservation(not so sure for this). Past 1~2 month I go register, they require me to bring those but cause its new, they will give you a form to to fill in instead. They asked me for hotel reservation when I was there. They require hard copy for them to submit as well.

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Sep 25 2013, 08:46 AM) FYI, Malaysian passport has been embedded with a chip for many years already (ever since they put up the 'scanner' thingy at immigration instead of getting your passport stamped at KLIA & LCCT). To enter Japan without having to apply for a visa, there needs to be a chip icon (in gold printing) on your passport below the tiger logo. So all is chip embedded, just whether its of ICAO standards or not. So if got no chip logo sign on the cover of the passport means have to apply for visa at Japan embassy, correct? My passport issued in 2010 has the logo while my dad's passport issued in 2009 doesn't has the logo, means have to apply Japan visa for him.

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Sep 25 2013, 09:25 AM) Yup, you are right! Only passports issued from 2010 onwards is of ICAO standards. Mine was also issued in 2009, dun have the chip logo icon as well. Alright. Thanks! Maybe I can just get him to renew the passport early since his expires in December and we are going in April. The rest of the family all have ICAO except his. Haha. Thanks again.

QUOTE(ticke @ Jan 12 2014, 11:36 PM) scroll up Ok saw your post. Any examples where it will not be approved? I've heard stories of the immigration giving people hell or a temporary passport for lost/misplaced passports. While some others say very simple procedure only, probably meant the procedure you explained.

QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ Jan 15 2014, 10:34 AM) is it ok if the entry/exit stamp are chopped at different page? recently I went to SG, and when I left SG, the immigration officer there stamped the exit chop on top of the previous entry chop which was made 3 years back. I did mention to him "you chopped at the wrong page", and he realized it, but he just said "ok" and opened the gate. Hence my most recent entry stamp to SG does not have an exit stamp on top of it. happened in Changi, the date of the exit chop was correct though Never had an issue with that. Not all my entry and exit chops are on the same page. Some country only either chop entry or exit. Got a few times the date chop wrong but the officer will change and countersign it immediately. Some purposely chop on an empty page, some purposely chop on a page that is quite full.

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Jan 16 2014, 02:48 PM) My travelling date is 1st of Mac 2014. I'll be travelling to Canada (confirm) and US (90% confirm except for visa part). Problem is I need to apply both Canada and US visa which is a bit tight at this moment. And Canada visa requires me to mail them my passport. Without the passport don't think I can apply US visa. Can I use photostated copy as temporary measures? Thanks for the help in advance. Canada Visa you can mail them photocopy of your passport (detail page and used pages). You can then go to Singapore to collect your results, submit your passport, and collect your passport in the afternoon all on the same day. Check the website how long it'll take for the process, if not mistaken it was around 2-3 weeks when I applied last year. Haven't applied US visa in more than 8 years so I don't remember the procedure already.

QUOTE(Current Events guy @ Feb 9 2014, 09:28 PM) Do I need a visa to go to australia? The Australian Immigration says I do but this topic: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/683234says that it is included in the flight ticket. You are referring to that post in 2008? You need a visa to get into Australia. That's for sure.
