Dont forget to bring your flight ticket and hotel reservation(not so sure for this). Past 1~2 month I go register, they require me to bring those but cause its new, they will give you a form to to fill in instead.

FYI, Malaysian passport has been embedded with a chip for many years already (ever since they put up the 'scanner' thingy at immigration instead of getting your passport stamped at KLIA & LCCT).

To enter Japan without having to apply for a visa, there needs to be a chip icon (in gold printing) on your passport below the tiger logo.

is it ok if the entry/exit stamp are chopped at different page?

recently I went to SG, and when I left SG, the immigration officer there stamped the exit chop on top of the previous entry chop which was made 3 years back.

I did mention to him "you chopped at the wrong page", and he realized it, but he just said "ok" and opened the gate. Hence my most recent entry stamp to SG does not have an exit stamp on top of it.

happened in Changi, the date of the exit chop was correct though

My travelling date is 1st of Mac 2014. I'll be travelling to Canada (confirm) and US (90% confirm except for visa part).

Problem is I need to apply both Canada and US visa which is a bit tight at this moment. And Canada visa requires me to mail them my passport. Without the passport don't think I can apply US visa. Can I use photostated copy as temporary measures?
