hi all, my passport is going to expire on june 2015, can i renew it now even though i still have one year plus of validity? or can i wait until september when i come home for holiday? what about the visa?

when applying for china visa here in KL, do i need the actual proof of when i'm going? because i will go to china via bus from hanoi and the bus ticket cannot be bought online(must buy in hanoi), so technically i won't have the actual ticket. but i have the flight ticket of leaving china. the most important thing is they need to know that i'll leave their country right?

I'm Malaysian, i'm holding valid blue IC and not being blacklisted. Do i need passport for visiting Sabah KK? I heard many many different version. Some said no need, some said need, some said no need if only stay for 3-5 days, some said below 30 days no need. I'm confused, I still wondering why Malaysian going domestic need passport? That's why need some expert advise.

Ofcoz bring along will be good, but my concern is, my passport expired if don't really needed i don't want to renew my passport at the moment coz it is extra cost to me.

I have a question that need experts advise. If for example my full name is Gerard Lan Wei Yuan, based on the results I searched from the thread it seems the naming will be as below:

Last name: Lan
First name: Gerard Wei Yuan/ Wei Yuan Gerard

Question will be for first name does it matter how the Christian name be in front/back? Will it affect to certain application e.g. membership on Frequent Flyer/Visa application/boarding pass?

E.g. boarding pass name print as LAN/ WEIYUANGERARDMR or Lan/ GERARDWEIYUANMR which will be accepted?

Guys I have a question. My password expiry date is on 29 September 2016; and I'm leaving for Taiwan on 15 March 2016. I understand it needs to have at least 6 months validity. Based on government calculation, is my password valid? :0

I made my passport on 5 November 2014 and it expires on 5 November 2016.

I will go to Australia for 9 days from 17 May 2016 onwards.

As far as I know the passport must be valid for at least 6 months before holder performs any journey abroad. So do I need to renew my passport before going to Australia?

I'm a prospective traveler interested in touring New Zealand in its near entirety. Throughout my stay there, I plan on working part time to help fund my kiwi endeavours such as bungee jumping, white water rafting and what not.
But here's the catch, I'd like to begin my travels in December 2016 as the flight prices are substantially lower then. However, application slots for the Travel and Work VISA opens up only on the 20th of January 2017.
My question is if it is possible that I apply for a Travel VISA now,so that I can fly to New Zealand in December. And while there, I can apply for a Travel AND Work VISA so that I can continue my stay there semi-employed.

My name follows a pretty common way of a typical Chinese way (eg Wong Ai Lin where surname is Wong and a first name is Ai Lin). However, according to the Malaysian passport machine readable code (MRZ), there is no << sign that separate my surname and first name in the standard way. Hence the visa issued to me has my full name (eg Wong Ai Lin) as surname and left my given name blank! All the official documents that I can think of are putting full name without explicitly stating surname and first name....What kind of proof can I give to rectify this change?
Anyone has faced this problem before? Your input is greatly appreciated.

Read a news this morning on some chinese newspaper and it says that China won't allow Malaysians to go through custom/into their country for those using passports made in year 2014 and above unless you still have those old passports with you ( Eg year 2012/2013 ) and you need to bring along that. Who will keep those old passports with them.. 

My parents called those in charge in travel and tours and they said it's true and they're also having headache due to that problem.

Anyone can clarify this?
