Anyone try before the CloudTV for Android? Is it good?

i tried it, free trial 1 day...

.. cloudtv is very stable, much more so that the free ones incl xbmc.
.. lots of chinese stuff, possible all the tv stations of china are in there!
.. hd channels... some are quite good, i.e. 480p-720p, some are not hd as stated.
.. if u watch a lot of chinese stuff, well worth it.
.. there are some free channels but are limited, not much.

xbmc can be complicated for a new user.
essentially it is a free platform for u to install "add ons" or channels onto adroid tv boxes (or pc for testing).
not easy to explain as it takes a bit of hands-on time to get to know how to do it.
some posts made on it earlier in the thread.
best to search the posts, read google/utube to watch some videos.

I was told that Cloud TV is using P2P technology, meaning the more people watching the same channel using the same ISP network, the more smoother playback it will be.

I still haven't decided to upgrade to any fibre ISP provider yet, can any CloudTV users who are using Maxis, Unifi or Time share their watching experience during peak hour?

I was told that during peak hour 8:00pm - 10pm, Hong Kong TVB Jade may have a lot of buffering.

Can anyone confirm on this?

Thanks.

I might be wrong but I think it buffers when too many or too few people watching a particular channel. Not only TVB Jade but applies to all channels, e.g during the airing of Triumph in the Skies 2, it buffered a lot, sometimes the whole episode couldn't be watched. There is a CloudTv Forum "http://cloudtv.bz/forum/" where you can read what other users are saying about the apps.

One thing good about CloudTv is the interface is in English. So for Non Chinese educated users, it is friendly.

My advice just download and try out the Premium package at USD4.99 for one month...judge it for yourself.

Which part of mash up you feel is good bro?

I've install xfinity as below, not sure whether its still working. Anyway, I remove it few days after, I find xfinity too annoying, too much addon and seems to have like and advertisement screen.

QUOTE(y2k @ Oct 30 2013, 09:38 AM)
Concise guide:
1. Download official XBMC and install.
2. In XBMC, go to "File Manager" under the System tab.
3. Select "Add Source"
4. Input: "http:// xfinity.xbmctalk.com"
5. Add name: "xunity" or whatever you want.
6. In XBMC main screen, go to System, select Add-Ons, then select "Install from zip file"
7. Select the talk wizard zip file.
8. After it is installed, you should be able to see the TalkWizard add-on under the Video Add-ons.
9. Run it, it should ask if you want to install all goodies etc.
10. Press Yes and wait for it to complete.
11. After completion, you should be able to find the add-ons.

Happy viewing!

mash up... i checked a few of things inside and found them betetr than other addons:
live stream ->ilive
anime -> freakanime
hd movies

xfinity...

http:// xfinity.xbmctalk.com
or
http://xfinity.xbmctalk.com
? or same

i did all that, same procedure as with fusion but can't get it.
one utube video said need to remove fusion first, which i did, still can't.
so, re-installed fusion!

actually, u r right, it's no good to have too long an addon list, too many addons.
it just too cumbersome, slows down the machine.

just to share with you, i only frequent xbmc, gentv mal and youtube.
really don't need others.

glad to share, bro. i picked up many tips from yr posts, happy to share with others. biggrin.gif

i have spent a lot of money over the years on av, it and related. from cds to bds, from crt to htc, from ps2 to ipads, from astro to androidtv! tongue.gif

this androidtv is telling me the future of av-comms-media storage will change very fast.

i can see much of my old collection of dvds and lower grade media files getting junked since who needs them when they are easily and cheaply accessible online anytime anywhere?!

from now on, i can check online for a few minutes the new stuff. if good and i want them on like blurays, i can get elsewhere. if not worth it, just watch online streaming and be done with it. thumbup.gif

and bye-bye soon to cable-satellite tv for sure...

Yes. I'm referring to the premium package which is using P2P, the free channel is not P2P.

P2P technology should be the more people watching, the less buffering it will be.

Can anyone help to confirm whether it is smooth playing during night time?
