I was told that Cloud TV is using P2P technology, meaning the more people watching the same channel using the same ISP network, the more smoother playback it will be.

I still haven't decided to upgrade to any fibre ISP provider yet, can any CloudTV users who are using Maxis, Unifi or Time share their watching experience during peak hour?

I was told that during peak hour 8:00pm - 10pm, Hong Kong TVB Jade may have a lot of buffering.

Can anyone confirm on this?

Thanks.

I might be wrong but I think it buffers when too many or too few people watching a particular channel. Not only TVB Jade but applies to all channels, e.g during the airing of Triumph in the Skies 2, it buffered a lot, sometimes the whole episode couldn't be  watched. There is a CloudTv Forum "http://cloudtv.bz/forum/" where you can read what other users are saying about the apps.

One thing good about CloudTv is the interface is in English. So for Non Chinese educated users, it is friendly.

My advice just download and try out the Premium package at USD4.99 for one month...judge it for yourself.

Yes. I'm referring to the premium package which is using P2P, the free channel is not P2P.

P2P technology should be the more people watching, the less buffering it will be.

Can anyone help to confirm whether it is smooth playing during night time?
