why you changed all your speaker? the models your mentioned not good meh? i m using MX5021..

they are all in the past for me... all dump in my store room now. Not to say it isnt good, i do believe each individual has thier own preference in sound quality. As for me, my current setup performance is much much far more superior than any of the AL i used to own...

AL speakers are good experience for learning and progressing in the world of sound system... trust me, before too long u will start to feel it aint enough....

That day was exeat and my mum was on the way to fetch me home.....Before that i was listening to some techno songs loudly.......Then my mum called me to inform me that had reached and i off the speaker directly from the switch (not from the controller from the plug) and then suddenly I heard a loud "DOMP" sound from the subwoofer.....and i juz ignore it.........

When I reached home I plug every wire to the subwoofer and try to turn On the speaker.....but i cant.......even though the plug is on.....but the LEDs on the controller do hav any lights.....and it seems to be ;like the electric current is not entering the speaker.....

Hope that some Hero can help me to deal with it or recommend me some shop which knows how to repair.........

Thanks

i hope altec will develop more digital controls rather the normal variable resistor which tends to fail after prolong of usage.

Hello guys, i m using ALTEC LANSING MX5021, previous to that i used power cube by altec lansing. I love em both ,and my great love is for MX 5021, its really a beauty, i connected it to a TOSHIBA DVD player , and the sound is really fantanstic. U can even hear the sharpest of sounds . Anyways guys, currently i m using a MAYA 7.1 sound card, but i dont get much performance in it. so planning to switch to creative sound blaster xtreme music, which has thx certification. So any advise?

ONe more thing, anyone knows how to expand a 2.1 system to 5.1 system without buying a 5.1 speakers. i mean by buying separate speakers and connecting them to the sound card, any suggestions, please do drop in.thanks.

2. MX-5021 - good treble, good midrange, good bass, not boomy (trebles need adjustment as it can go very high)

i m using MX5021 also... the treble is very high by using the given wire.. then i changed the wire to a lower noise and distortion wire, now it works perfectly.... even my friend who own JBL wan change to AL MX5021 also... thumbup.gif

wa... a lot of MX5021 user here...

I am only with VS4121...got it last year... the first time using it... WOW!!!! I never thought my music could sound this great... too great. I clean it everyday of dust and yell at anyone who dares to touch it

But now... after I bought my Chaintech AV710... and a few hours everyday in this Audiophile section (starting at the beginning of the year)... I slowly feels that my VS4121 bass is too much. Don't know why... not only that... but I felt it is not enough

Now I am using my SHP895 to listen to music more often than with VS4121. I only use it for movies and games. Thinking to invest some money for MX5021... probably this end of the year smile.gif

*Would be great if the price decides to drop tongue.gif
