hehe.. ok then...
Btw , im curious ...
I got a WMA song which is 64kbps if I convert it into 256kbps ...will the sound improve ?
I found no, becasue the bass of the song make the bass "pecah" while all other song no.  shakehead.gif
*
Absolutely NO...when you rip the 64kbps WMA, a lot of data already loss and you will not get back the data in whatever mathod...up convert to higher bit rate will only add some 'blank' data that make the file size bigger and not raise the quality at all..

if you want to rip into FLAC, using Winamp also can...Audio CD standard only 44.1kHz and 16bit per sample, rip into 96khz and 24bit per sample won't increase the quality...

Guys, where can i buy the altec 3.5mm male to male cable ? The one with green head and black cable or anything similar that does the job. A stupid rat ate my cable.  vmad.gif  He is so dead... mad.gif  mad.gif

Does the distributor selling extra original altec lansing cables ?
*
hehe, the rat isn't stupid, quite clever actually, choose Altec Lansing Cable to eat...and how you know the rat is male? since you use 'he' to describe.. rclxm9.gif This cable very common, you can find it in many places, super market, electrical shop, AV shop will have...

Why bother about buy the 'original' AL cable, any same kind of cable will do the job...if you want high quality, go to high end HI-FI shop to buy, i think will have RM100 per piece cable... sweat.gif

For whatever reason, you shouldn't use he/she to describe the rat...should be 'it'....lolz rclxm9.gif

beside gold plated , the size of the cable you also have to notice ,
normally it was quiet thick  icon_idea.gif . about the price  rclxub.gif ? no idea at all  sweat.gif
*
ya, as thick as possible...but sometimes thick not necessary means the conductor inside is thick as well, it might be only thick rubber outside.. doh.gif

FX6021 and MX5021 are completely different, altho the number sound more or less same.

the FX6021 has a smoother, warmer sound, while the MX5021 has precise treble, but can get irritting if u turn the treble too high.

midrange wise, the MX5021 is slghtly better due to its larger dual 3" midrange driver per satellite. the FX6021 cannot produce very low midrange in detial and so its cut off frequency between woofer and sats are noticeably higher, 250Hz.

bass wise, the MX5021 hits harder, and it can reach lower frequencies with more detail than the FX.

overall, if ur looking for a system that play rap/techno or music with pounding bass, the MX5021 is better.

but if ur taste of music is not heavy on the low end, the FX6021 is very good, producing female voices with good detail and clarity.
*
i think this one should be expected once they see the speaker since the satellite only use the microdrive which will kill the midrange alot... nod.gif

anyway, when you bought your MX5021? the satellite similar to the upper left smaller one or lower bigger one?

bt mine is using new vers satellite with old vers woofer. i dun mix and match. it came tgt in the box.
wah, got mix one, can apply world record adi... tongue.gif the woofer should be soft rather than hard, i think is normal...your old version woofer is hard one? hmm.gif hmm.gif

yeah, he threatened to beat me up if he finds out that i'm the culprit
naturally, i just joined him and said the same thing if i finds out that my neighbour upstairs is the culprit
oh, by the way, he is really retarded, and i don't mean to call him that as an insult
jeez, can't really enjoy my speakers liao...

edit:
but the funny thing is that i don't feel any vibration or booming effect la
ever since i changed the audio cables to a thicker one, i don't feel it anymore
unlike the original thinner cables, i can feel the room vibrating, especially on the windows and the walls...
laugh.gif
*
ya, last semester i really can't enjoy movie and songs in my room, for me the bass is cukup cukup only, but when the bass pass through the wall it become more stronger and gave impact to my neighbour sad.gif ...

Woofer placement will affect the bass outcome, change audio cable won't affect the bass sound and you are misleading ppl here... mad.gif

quoted from coolkwc: wah, got mix one, can apply world record adi...  the woofer should be soft rather than hard, i think is normal...your old version woofer is hard one?
maybe u misunderstood me there, wad i mean is when u press softly on the woofer cone, how far does it go in. the ones that feel "harder" to the touch can withstand heavier bass at higher volume, because it wont be pushed to its limits that easily. the softer ones will be floppy, and reach the extension limit easier than the harder ones.
just like the sonic gear 333, its woofer is seriously nua to the touch. so it acts up a lot even though the bass fed to it isnt very extreme.
*
About this thing, the softer and harder is call about long throw/'short throw?!!?'...every woofer have their own cone displacement, MX5021 already stated as 'long throw' woofer which means that the woofer will actually displace much even with little bass apply...
