Simply say, digital sound is a wave sound which transfer in "bit". A bit different to analog which you listen n years before with your cassette.
16-bit is something like a CD sound quality. 24-bit is is something like a DVD sound quality.

But when you compare by digital with analog sound. Sometimes in digital wave sound, you cannot listen to some details in the music. Some of the sound listen like not nature, maybe the voice when you talking then after record into digital wave was change to another voice.

Analog sound is more details and more nature but a big problem is when you playing it such like a cassette. Sometimes fast and sometimes slow and also the big disadvantage is low fidelity.

If you obtain a Creative sound cards, you set their sound quality to 24-bit and 96KHz. You will feel that sound is better than a CD music. The sound is improved to more details during you listen a song. Higher bit generate more detailed voice. You will feel the sound is more nature than 16-bit.

But usually its not much different, you still can listen a high quality song at 16-bit. My own conclusion is, there have no different between 16-bit and 24-bit. I cannot listen out what are their difference with my sound card. Still 16-bit is a good standard for a digital wave sound.

I cannot explain too much because I not very expert about this.

Anyway, where can I get the Trust one? Or are there any other 16-bit external soundcards? I'm really really low on funds... so I can't afford to get expensive stuff.

i have a problem wit it now after 2 years of usage.

now the speakers when i played animes / music... the sound sometimes loud... soft .... or mute... does anyone have the same problem wit me?

can anyone here pls help me out? provide me some solution? is my problem fixable?

i hear many good comment to tis speaker

but Not all of them the best. New MX5021 cut cost version not produce reasonable sound at all. How to check? open the satellite and look at printed circuit board. They have Capasitor and coil.  Old version have 2 coil(big black color component) with 3 small caps. But cut cost version only has one coil and 2 caps.

i'm using IXOS Gamma Geometry cable as my input and also change the speaker wires already.
it does have some improvements but i'm still not satisfied 
thinking on modding the X-over this weekend
