Most of the ATP3 in the market now is the second gen version, you can still get first gen ones if they're used ones and there are a number of used ones for sale in the market. I have an Altec Lansing ASC 45 (The one with plastic woofer) that is 12 years old and still working fine. I'm using it with a very old SB Live Value. The speaker cost RM245 last time and the sound card was RM190.
Even though ACS 45.1 sounds much better, but its not reliable. I think i'm not the only one with units that cannot be powered on. I have 2 units of ACS 45.1 with me that cannot be powered on. Anyone knows why and whats damaged? Or who can repair them? |
