you can see it if u stand in-front of the car but so far went to mid valley etc etc nothing happened(maybe because this is cheap and low end recorder,they don't even bother). warranty wise, i also not so sure but touch wood hopefully nothing happens. i dint use discounts code but i bought time is rm3.8=1usd.

Mine was under direct noon sunlight, no tinting..the clear plastic covering the screen deformed. Thankfully the screen itself is set inside the unit, thus it still displays fine.

Weather like malaysia hot all day, how long does you guy dashcam battery can last??
Mine lasted me approx 10 to 11months. Then battery no longer kept charges.

therefore, best is to buy a model without built in battery.

it is no choice one, unless u keep ur camera all the time, if u leave it on the windscreen, it sure will degrade over time.

My garmin one can hardly hold more than 30 minutes charge also.

buy dashcam that use capasitor lo...like mine.

Been using mine for 2year ady. That time capacitor type dashcam not available.
Mine kept all time at windscreen, as mine when engine shut the dashcam still under surveillance for 2hour.

Which is better: Mini 0806 or DOD LS460W?
BTW, I read that Mini 0806 is not recommended for hot climates. Is it true or this only applies to the 1st and 2nd generation models?

DOD LS460W-everything is good but only flawed is it use Built-in Li-on battery, it wont last under our hot climate.maybe like Boeing 787 drive till half smoke come out from the cam.once the battery leaks,your camera gg.com

mini0806 is a better choice since it use super capacitor.but downside is capacitor lose charge very fast ,it will auto turn off not long after u cut your engine power.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Mini 0806 uses battery (refer spec sheet here: http://mini0806.com/spec.html).
Among the more common and affordable models, only Blueskysea G1W-CB and Novatek A118C have capacitors in them.

Is it anyone experience when the recorder is on your alarm system will not work. Example when I turn off engine the recorder need few second to auto off during this period I can't lock my car and nothing function of my car alarm also. Is it normal?
