Mine lasted me approx 10 to 11months. Then battery no longer kept charges. it is no choice one, unless u keep ur camera all the time, if u leave it on the windscreen, it sure will degrade over time. My garmin one can hardly hold more than 30 minutes charge also. |

Which is better: Mini 0806 or DOD LS460W?
BTW, I read that Mini 0806 is not recommended for hot climates. Is it true or this only applies to the 1st and 2nd generation models? This post has been edited by sevenor: Sep 25 2015, 11:35 PM |

QUOTE(sevenor @ Sep 25 2015, 01:34 PM) Which is better: Mini 0806 or DOD LS460W? DOD LS460W-everything is good but only flawed is it use Built-in Li-on battery, it wont last under our hot climate.maybe like Boeing 787 drive till half smoke come out from the cam.once the battery leaks, your camera gg.comBTW, I read that Mini 0806 is not recommended for hot climates. Is it true or this only applies to the 1st and 2nd generation models? mini0806 is a better choice since it use super capacitor.but downside is capacitor lose charge very fast ,it will auto turn off not long after u cut your engine power. |

Thanks for your input bro. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Mini 0806 uses battery (refer spec sheet here: http://mini0806.com/spec.html). Among the more common and affordable models, only Blueskysea G1W-CB and Novatek A118C have capacitors in them. This post has been edited by sevenor: Sep 26 2015, 08:22 PM |
