I have got one bought from taobao but apparently the battery died so when the USB cable is drop off / or turn off the car, the last video is corrupted as no proper ending of video file.

Is using novatek nt96650 chip and it works great.

You can call poslaju but must provide the tracking number. Otherwise, poslaju is not able to trace. I was in the same situation and I waited. In the end, the item was redirected back to the sender. Reason for returning to sender was "unclaimed by receiver". Sometimes, the card for you to collect at poslaju collection centre may not have reached you.

That is not bad actually, especially considering the car is parked under hot sun 99% of the time. If not parked under hot sun everyday, it can probably last longer than that. Personally, I dont expect a below RM300 no-brand made-in-china dash cam to last more than 2 years anyway. If it does, then it is a bonus. Anyway, based on your input, i think i will get the battery version. It would be more practical for me.

By the way, how did you know your battery has kembang? Has the dash cam stopped functioning, and you open the casing?

Hi,

I just received my G1WH last week...i had an existing Sandisk 8GB microsd card...i plugged it in, turned it on, it displays the camera current view but none of the buttons can be pressed.

I cant get into options to format or do anything at all. Is it because it's a class 4 card?

EDIT: it works now with card. apparently have to format the card before inserting into the camera.

Which is better:

G1WH / G1WC or 0803 / 0805?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LWOq62cY6U

The G1WH/C seems to be getting lots of good reviews in youtube and here. My only hesitation with it is that it seems a bit big. Would prefer a smaller camera  so that it is not obvious there is a camera when viewed from the outside. I plan to install and forget, not mount and dismount it everytime I get in the car, which would be very troublesome.

Anyone has used the 0803 or the newer version 0805/806? Is it good?

I honestly did not bother to read the dimensions of the product....when the box arrived i opened it and was shocked at the size of it...haha. but placed well...can barely see behind the rear view mirror.

Can your g1wc play with class 4 sd card?
*
QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Apr 18 2015, 05:33 PM)
dont skimp on the memory card

yes class 4 can use, but videos are extremely choppy
*
I had to try out my new G1WH with the only sdcard i have...it's a class 4 sandisk 8gb. Videos were good...no lag or choppy. I just ordered a 32gb class 10 sandisk online just for this camera.

With 720p, i find it difficult to read car plates while cars are moving...guess will be best to record in 1080p. hence...need 32gb

Thanks for the input .. So far mine after 2 months of using g1wc with class 4 sd card gives no problem to me. No lagging no delay or whatsoever.. Hehe I guess it's a bonus since I don't have to change a new card.

The GW1C package finally arrives at the post office. Exactly 2 weeks after order been place from gearbest.com.

Shall do a short review once I got it installed over the weekend. Question now is should I get 32GB or a 64GB memory card?

Hi guys, anyone got any suggestions for a dashcam that can tahan our hot sun and absorb strong vibrations ? I drive an old Saga, it doesn't have any solar tint (very hot inside during the afternoon) and the ride comfort is quite poor (vibrates a lot)... I guess you could say it's a sauna + Ogawa chair. laugh.gif

Also, if you plug the power cable to the cigarette lighter, won't it drain the car battery if left overnight ? blink.gif

My budget is under RM250. I don't think I can afford a GoPro at this point, too expensive. sad.gif I have read through this thread and many users and sifus recommend the G1WH. I think the video quality is quite good for the money. But some said it is not so reliable.

Any G1WH owners here who can share their experience driving in the hot sun and bumpy roads ?

32gb is more than enough for about 5+- hours drive recording in 1080p@30 frames...
