Any suggestion on Car Camera that mount to the rear mirror instead of using suction cup which suction cup is not reliable that I always put my car under big hot sun and the suction cup will suck my tint film a big bubble and it extremely ugly~

Budget <RM300
*
Check lazada.. There are a few under RM200 too.

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jul 27 2017, 08:57 PM)
You can get Nimitz rearview mirror mount to mount those dashcam instead of suction mount. Never seen a dashcam that came with this kind of mount.
*
I've seen a few rear view mirror mounted dashcams.. I think with one or so even running Android biggrin.gif.. They clasp onto the front of the mirror.. Some can replace the mirror entirely...with a section of the glass showing live view and menu..

Guys,

Would like to ask here. I have a mini 0806 which is more than a year old. It's now not functioning due to battery problem. I tried to changed the battery. But could not get the same spec. Thus it is laying around.
Is there any shop that I could get it repair and running again?... Not sure if it is worth it...
*
Dashcams repair are a niche category... Never stumbled across one.. Plus might cost as much as a new one to get it fixed.. So better ditch and purchase a new one.

There are a few already discussed. I could tell you straightaway but where's the fun in that. smile.gif.. You coukd read back a couple of pages and find the posts or simply type the keyword "card" in the search bar below for an instant answer.

Btw, im using this MiJia dashcam, i insert the memory card in my android phone, i can watch the video but i cant save it, why ya?
*
Weird, normally one can simply copy off it. Could it be because the files are saved in a format that requires a PC first to launch the video player that unlocks the files? After which they can be copied off the SD card.

When i insert in my laptop, it never launches anything. My laptop also never detect anything
*
Depending on your PC's auto-launch/play settings, it may seem as if it is undetected. But and as already pointed out, it's available as an external drive and files can be copied off the card. Unless the card reader or usb port is faulty.

Ok...assuming i already plugged in and auto play is popped out, so what i do next? Transfer the video file? Just for once only and then the 2nd time i can transfer it using my phone?
*
You would have to test that to find out. It doesn't matter as long as the file is not locked or a faulty card. It should allow viewing and transfers. The whole point of a dashcam is to capture and save footage.

But the warranty..
Huhu..

That's actually better than no warranty that comes with some others and are pricier. See below for an example of what basically amounts to no warranty masquerading as available warranty tongue.gif

QUOTE
6. This warranty does not particularly cover Damages resulting from the following reasons will not be covered under the
a) physical damages to the surface of the product, including without limiting to, breakge, cracks, scratches or black marks on the LCD screen, lens or outside casing of the product caused by you or a third party.

Besides, they don't even offer a 1-1 exchange on defects.

Damn! console.gif . No warranty?.. Kinda why I prefer the buying local route. Sure costs a bit more in some cases, but can flip table if anything.. tongue.gif

how does the storage works? IIRC, the videos are saved in SD Card. But whenever the storage is full, have to delete it, only then can capture new videos, or can overwrite older videos automatically?
*
Usually it's on a loop.. It doesn't just continously save until it's one huge file and wipes to start over.. Videos are saved in segments, (say 3 or 5 or X minutes long) and those segments are then deleted/overwritten by new files at a later date on what I believe is a first in, first out basis..

Ya.

How about memory card ? Is Samsung evo+ recommended even it’s not cover with warranty ? Does it have high failure rate like the Sandisk card ?
*
Based on my research, I'd say the SanDisk HE series is significantly better than the Samsung Evo+ series. Though the Evo+ is still a good buy, just be sure that you get the latest U3 and not U1 version.

Mini0906 is currently the best budget dual dashcam and it's using capacitor. About US100+ in Aliexpress.
*
Thanks for this.. Read your reviews and seen the videos, not bad for that price. Will keep this as ready option for pals who ask of budget dual channel dashcams. thumbup.gif

anyone can suggest me shop area kl or selangor sell all type dashcam that can do installation also? to find decent with front and rear cam.
*
Visit Jalan Puteri 5/1 in Puchong. Went to meet a pal there once and there's a car accessories shop along the row of shops that sells and does installations if you bring your own device too. I think BYOD installation is around RM50.. Can't remember exactly but definitely must be under RM100.. You can get hardwire kits there too, but better to bring yours.
